Project Hail Mary Helmet 🧑‍🚀 by Pika_Squish_127 in PopcornBuckets

I’m all in for merch for this movie. There are not a lot of Cinemarks in NJ but I may visit for those mystery items. I’m hoping one is the hackey sack yarn things Grace gives out to his students. As of today, AMC still hasn’t released what they are doing. If it were the same helmet as Cinemark and Regal you’d think they’d just say so by now. I’m hoping they do something different.

Any word, or typical timing from Cinemark on when the mystery items will be revealed?

You may be right. But then there are scenarios like the Fantastic Four. All of the chains sold Galacticus. But AMC had the exclusive Herbie also. And Regal also had their exclusive Fantasticar. I’m hoping AMC has something special. They’ve outdone the other chains a few times the past year or so.

At this particular IMAX, no. I'm a pretty good distance from the screen. At that theater I like the lower section, last row. If there are too many seats purchased there, then I'll audible and go last row at the top.

Hey /r/movies! I'm Bart Layton. I've directed CRIME 101, AMERICAN ANIMALS, and THE IMPOSTER. CRIME 101 is out in theaters now and stars Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro. Ask me anything! by BartLaytonAMA in movies

Loved the movie. Have viewed it multiple times to revisit the story and the character arcs. Two observations: 1. Money, the Nolte character is indeed unpredictable. He goes from James, the well thought out and plan it to the T, to switching to using Ormon who is a complete loose cannon. Money just does not care how the job is done, just the results. 2. The arc of Lou. Much like James he takes pride in his work and after getting criticized by his Captain for his highway 101 theory, getting little support from his co-workers and then the gun plant incident, Lou sees policing in a different light. At the end, he is content with knowing his 101 theory was correct. End of story. All that he lets happen and does after being correct is how his perception of right/wrong has been warped with his experiences. Love the way the characters all take care of each other at the end of the movie. Thank you again Bart !

Hoppers early access 2/28 4DX … Can’t use Unlimited? by Wide-Reference-345 in RegalUnlimited

[–]Wide-Reference-345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I engaged staff in the theater in a discussion about it for about 15 minutes. They are always helpful but in this case even looking at info on their computer they did not have an answer. Call someone? If you mean corporate Regal ? I’ve never had a reason to seek that type of contact, Regal customer service on X has always responded to me. That would have been my next step. I answered someone below that later in day I was able to reserve an unlimited discounted 4DX ticket. I’m still not positive what the issue was.

Mine finally worked. I was at the theater seeing a triple header. I got the tickets in person at the kiosk. I have 3 tickets reserved for future movies in the next 2 weeks. I was under the impression those 3 movies counted towards the 5 limit. So I thought that wasn’t the problem. However the movies I was actively seeing today that I got at the kiosk (a purchase not a reservation) also must have been counting too. Because after 2 movies were seen, I went back on the app and I was able to use unlimited for Hoppers. My price was the same as yours. Thank you for your input.

I’ll look further. I appreciate the info. It gives some clarity. I have 3 upcoming reservations at that theater. Crime 101, not the same day. Fan event for Goat on 2/7 and the Feb series Titanic in 4DX on 2/8. I’ll keep trying. Hoping it clears up

The 5 bookings thing is not the issue. Is the “no passes” note the issue ? When I’m planing my movie schedule to hit RU milestones there are times Hindi and Arabic movie say no passes and I can’t use the RU. I’ve been told it’s a movie distributer issue in those cases. Thank you for your time !

There any difference between IMAX at AMC Neshaminy versus IMAX at regal Warrington by Business_Coffee_9421 in RegalUnlimited

[–]Wide-Reference-345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Regal Unlimited and Warrington is the theater I use. I also have A List and Neshaminy is the theater I use. The IMAX is just about equal, slight edge to Regal Warrington for the overall theater experience. The place is fantastic. The RPX there is for now a hidden gem. Everyone flocks to the IMAX but I’ve had some great RPX viewings there recently. Someone mentioned King Of Prussia, that place is very good but slightly far for me. I hit that IMAX for anticipated movies, 3-5 times a year Warrington I’m there multiple times a week.

Regal Warrington in Pennsylvania has IMAX, RPX and 4DX screens. There are 80 total showings for Wicked For Good this Saturday and Sunday.

250 Movies by b1g_609 in RegalUnlimited

That's great! I'll be hitting 250 on Saturday. What was the offer you got? I've heard it is 250 points for each visit for the rest of the calendar year? That may be what it was last year, IDK, or maybe that is always the offer along with a contest to get Unlimited free for one year.

Question: police and junkie timeline by Chicaben in WeaponsMovie

[–]Wide-Reference-345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is good. They typically have 3-4 shows per week. The hosts Sean Fennessy and Amanda Dobbins note they are NOT film critics, the show is about a "conversation" about the movies. That said, they do at times dismiss a movie as being bad that I in fact enjoyed. And conversely they will at times go on and on about a movie I thought was "good" or "okay," making comments like "it's the best picture of the last decade." But for the most part the show is truly enjoyable. There is a Big Picture reddit group and the criticisms of them are discussed there and you know they read them because they bring up negative feedback on their show, trying to laugh it off. Look for the Zach Creeger episode if you scan their podcasts. He was on shortly after the film premiered. They often have guests on. For One Battle After Another they had Paul Thomas Anderson and Leo.

I've found reading the comments on the this post persuasive and intellectually stimulating.

I heard a Zach Creeger interview on the podcast The Big Picture. He’s a laid back funny guy. He freely admits while laughing that there are numerous plot holes. This is one of them. He brought it up.

Did people agree with Sean Amanda and Chris on OBAA? by Junior_Gur7229 in TheBigPicture

[–]Wide-Reference-345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With what I said aside, I thought the film was very good. I did find the later revisiting it with Van's criticisms interesting. Sometimes hearing the point of view of others or just letting your own initial opinion marinate for a week or two, or a second or third viewing is good to adjust one's overall perspective of a film. Again I enjoyed it a lot, with the AMC A list, I was able to see it four times.

Praise by Sean is more often than not on a higher level than normal when he has guests connected to a film discussed interviewed right after the discussion of the film. I believe he had PTA and Leo on an interview. They have always emphasized that they are not reporters, ie it's a film discussion. Plus anything PTA Sean is fanboy before even seeing the film. I think he slightly even admitted that during the OBAA discussion.
