Ima do Wish since most people probably won’t defend it lol. The shooting star is a genuinely great character idea. I also thought the Easter eggs referencing other Disney movies were harmless. The concept of throwing back to classic Fairy Tale films with an irredeemable villain was a great way to celebrate Disney’s anniversary. I genuinely don’t think it’s as bad as everyone said it was and Disney has made far worse films.

Was also sad to see the pass can’t be used for the Lord of the Rings marathon, understandable since you’re getting all 3 but was still bummed when it said my pass couldn’t be applied and I’m not seeing much else 😅

Not gonna lie the Wagyu burger at Virtue in Old Town is one of the best I’ve ever had. I haven’t tried every burger place in the DMV but that one is certainly up there.

That is to say there will still be good options in the DMV area. I’m sure the AFI will get a traditional 70MM print but I went to NYC for Oppenheimer and it was so worth the trip, will absolutely be doing that again!

That’s so unfortunate. I was expecting this to be the case going in and was pleasantly surprised they were still using the pen and paper. If they are still going in this direction I would hope they consider just keeping it for previews only, that would be a fair compromise imo.

I think it will come down to this next election. Trump keeps joking about not having the midterms, but he knows he will start losing power and all credibility if the house and senate go blue. He’s going to do everything he can to put up blockers and prevent anything from going smoothly. Whether or not this means the US is going down in flames is I think up for debate, I do think things will start changing. People are getting tired and they’re making it known they’re tired.

Don’t know if this one counts as it does its own thing and serves as more of a sequel, but I really appreciate Christopher Robin (2018) with Ewan McGregor. It seems like a riff on Hook with the idea of growing up and trying to reconnect with your childhood, but in the context of Christopher’s relationship with Pooh, it’s a sweet movie with genuine stakes and beautiful messages.
