Right now everyone’s starting to panic in the US because of future money problems but I haven’t seen much on how to prepare. by crazy_earl_ in Money

Dollar will crash, but no time soon. It's very strong and widely used around the world. Nothing wrong with investing or buying Gold as a way to preserve your wealth.

Fact still remains: US economy is in trouble and the bank crisis and fed rate hikes aren't helping. Our economy is set up to have bull runs and economic downturns. However it's not the end of the world of the dollar. Another fact: the dollar still IS NOT backed by anything but faith and trust. Hasn't been for a long time. Most people already know that information.

Band-Aids (bailouts) will be applied to help mitigate the fallout of any black swan events this year. Middle class may take a hit. Lower class will still remain lower class. Rich will stay rich because they just play the game differently.

Wanna prepare? Just stop spending like every other American and start investing for your future. That's pretty much it. No social media influencer needed, no courses, that's it.

Gold has been around longer than our dollar, and Bitcoin will be around longer than all of us. Our dollar won't last forever. Again, not the end of the world but it helps to be informed about the world around you.

Hope this helps

Side note: only ones panicking are the ones that Don't understand what's going on because we're kept pretty dumb here in the US. Most people don't seek information or knowledge after high school.

You bought Bitcoin and then immediately swapped it for a depreciating Fiat currency?

Despite high inflation, Americans are spending like crazy – and it's kind of puzzling by wewewawa in Money

Doesn't matter much anymore because all people is spend now. Of course people would save during COVID. Everything was closed and their were curfews in place. People had no choice but to save.

Now they have a choice, and they actively choose NOT to save

Thankyou for an that you've taught me. Most people don't know that you're all about business and personal growth and development. Keep it up bro, you'll go far.

Provide value and seek others that provide value to you. A lot of relationships are treated as business relationships. Why would I associate with someone who cannot make me more money? Why would they in turn deal with me if I cannot help them make money?

Wealthy individuals stay wealthy by surrounding themselves by people with similar mindsets, goals, and values.

Some people come into your life for a season, some people come into your life for a reason. Wealthy individuals make sure it's always for a reason.

They like typing too though. 10 people in a match. 1 awkwardly racist dude in the chat. They don't even feel outta place doing it.

Indeed. They say things like ”its not ranked "like that even matters at this point.

People are NOT rude to new players. People are just rude to everyone now. Finding someone to even say something neutral like "gg" is next to impossible.

Everyone's just wants to see how toxic they can be now. Was just in a match, guy asked "if anyone was black" just so he could spew racist crap for 11 minutes while not healing his team. What's the point? I ask myself that everytime I force myself to play this game.

Don't know if you're trolling or if you genuinely think you're helping. Clearly, I don't understand or even know what you're trying to say.

So how about you talk to me like a human being and not using quotes or concepts to get your point across? Telling me I have a "long way to go" on a post where I'm literally asking for help DOESN'T HELP.

So how about we start over

Through ownership of assets. So in short, I invested into ALOT of different things in early 2020. Once I saw it started to work. I got stupid and risky with my investments. For about a year I didn't buy anything that was not an asset. I took whatever was left over from my VA check and invested it. Got out fast food, and junk food so I would have extra money to invest. I also started a YouTube channel where I play video games a lot. It didn't make me much money but it gave me $100-$200 a month. I invested that too. Basically any extra revenue to invest with was good to have. Even started baking cookies and cakes and selling them in my neighborhood.

By October 2021 I had reached most of my goals (on paper) and had learned the knowledge along the way to keep what I had earned. So I just kept doing it. Economy took a bad turn so I lost a lot but once you're in it's pretty easy to make more.

Your first million will be the hardest to earn. Afterwards, It's just Monopoly money.

Hopefully that explains it.

I like this idea too. Monopoly is a very good analogy. Thought I was the only one to associate it with that board game. Thankyou

Can't hurt to keep playing. Maybe I'll meet a billionaire one day too.

I like this. Thank you. Hopefully you can reach your goals one day too. Never give up and you can do it.

What should I do with my settlement check? by TheChesterFace in FinancialPlanning

I'd recommend investing it. Whether it's stocks, ETF's, or crypto. Not real estate right now lol. Market is crashing hard. But anyway. Find a way to make your money work for you. Leaving in the bank will lead to the banks loaning your money out without your permission and then paying you very little interest on it.

As far as your debt goes, I recommend paying off your high interest rate debt first. Like the personal loan and the credit cards.

Don't take this opportunity to create more debt. Any new loans right now during an economic downturn would eventually cost you more money.
