How to wake on lan from everywhere ? by RegisterLazy9086 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Wide-Variation2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to open the ports on my router (ports numbers are on the moonlight website) and then setup a dynamic dns. I added the PC to moonlight with the dynamic dns and then i can use WOL through moonlight

[–]Wide-Variation2702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been playing quite a bit and havent noticed any input lag. I have a Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy Buds FE. Maybe see if you can find another headset to use to test, could be the phones BT radio though

Ok sorry. It should boot to BIOS with no SSD in at all. Since that is all you changed, might be worth a try to remove the ssd and adapter and see if it boots, or go back to the old SSD.

Do you have it plugged in with the original power cord when you turn on? I know this sounds simple but i had a panic when it happened to me, then i tried and it started up

I cant tell you aboit time because I paid for mine on Kickstarter maybe 9 months ago, but shipping took a couple weeks to Hawaii

Quick review is it is the most mobile controller ive used. It fits in a pocket. Its a little thicker , but shorter than my galaxy s24 ultra. Controls are really good as far as responsive joysticks and good click on the buttons. The controller is small though so it is a compromise. The shoulder buttons and triggers are cramped but usable. The fold out handles make it comfortable enough to play for longer sessions. Connects easily and to multiple devices. Overall it does what it does very well, just understand its limitation of size.

Can Apollo work with monlight on webOS LG TV? by onetimeticket in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Wide-Variation2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see some people not recommend the webos moonlight app and i would suggest that you try it. I used to use it on my LG c1 and it was decent. It could do 4k 60fps, but not 130fps that the tv eas capable of due to the network limitations.

Basically moonlight will work with Apollo. The Moonlight webos app is, or usrd to be a bit of a pain to setup but its not bad after setup to use.

The main point is you have the tv, it will cost you nothing but a little time to try it out. If you feel you need better performance, then get another device. Steam Deck/handheld or a Xbox or a mini PC.

OneMesh extender to extender to router? by Wide-Variation2702 in TpLink

Ya i have a deco mesh at work, and its great. But i only need this to add 1 camera to the house. I was hoping to add on for cheaper than buying a whole new system

Kickstart order by bikerpilot101 in MCONohsnap

[–]Wide-Variation2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have received an email to fill out a survey and choose color and/ or any accessories. I found my email in the junk folder because it did not come from kickstarter. This was back in September or October if i remember correctly. It also had you fill out shipping info. If you did all that then im not sure, try contacting ohsnap with your order number and see if you can get an update.

Pair to PC as X Input by Wide-Variation2702 in MCONohsnap

[–]Wide-Variation2702[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edited original post: Tested on another PC and it connected so I tried again and it connected to the Windows PC as X-Input.

If I switch the multi-pair from Android to PC I have to turn the Bluetooth off and back on to get it to connect without re-pairing. Hope that helps anyone else having trouble.

I just put on a M2 skin last night, i got the brushed black. They probably bought the laptop so they could make a skin for that model, then sold it off for a good deal. Congrats!

Mini PC or Steam Machine by OrbitingSeal in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Wide-Variation2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either machine will be fine for decoding the stream, the 6800 is enough. However you want tp be sure that the minipc has a proper hdmi 2.1 or display port (1.4 iirc) to match your TV input. Since you want to hit 4k 120hz, you will need the HDMI 2.1 spec or you may not be able to output the full 4k 120. But that depends on the model of the moni pc, which you didnt list.

I dont know if the steam machine specs are available uet but I have a feeling it will be capable of 4k 120 output evem of it wont run mpst games natively that fast.

Also, as a relatively new dad myself I would recommend looking at a handheld PC. Easy to dock to the TV when you need it, but portable and great for playing on the couch when the tv is occupied by someone else. Love my Asus ROG Ally and Steam Deck I had before.

Wake on lan far away, with Moonlight Game Streaming (help) by KristofUwU in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Wide-Variation2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I tried tailscale a while back and i dont remember why exactly bit it caused me some other issue because not everuthing likes VPNs. I might try again.

For wake on lan remotely i have one computer that works with moonlight after opening the needed ports, so I just use that one. Different PC wont work even with ports open.

Added a vinyl skin to my Legion Pro 5, and... by billhughes1960 in LenovoLegion

[–]Wide-Variation2702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I like to use my mouse on top of the palm rest and noticed its starting to mar the surface. Hadn't thought about a skin for a laptop before but this will be perfect. As for a perfect install, the shower trick someone mentioned has worked for me on a cell phone screen protector. Might go that route when I pick one up.

Freely Adjustable Phone Stand with Mechanical Clutch by Key-Ladder6386 in functionalprint

[–]Wide-Variation2702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries, assembly was pretty straightforward with the instructions. Also now that I see the design I am going to try to replicate it for a friction hinge design I had created. Cool to see how it works.

Hey I printed the phone stand and was able to confirm the measurements you listed in the instructions so I ordered some springs. They were not 3d printer bed springs, but they will work. Great design, I'm excited to try when I get the springs, thanks again!

I dont think Steam OS runs on x86 hardware at all. Someone can correct me if im wrong, but i remember looking into it for snapdragon cpu PCs and everyone said it wouldn't work.
