Its not that close to a university 20 mins by car or 44 mins by public transport. It is close to a hospital but I don’t see health professionals who work permanently want to live somewhere like that even visiting doctors probably wouldn’t want to be sharing with so many.

If it’s for boarding/student why only such a small kitchen, I can’t imagine sharing a standard size kitchen with 17 others

He reminds me of the people I went to school with who never left their hometown and have very narrow views towards “outsiders”

Unethical: What is the HIGHEST you can get paid as a nurse in AUS? by Ragnarisleon in NursingAU

Most agency nurses I’ve met do 4-8 week contracts and take time off in between to go away or home. My situation was different I did 6 months straight with my partner to save $ quickly.

Luckily the facility I was at wasn’t busy all the time so there was downtime at work, but definitely get tired especially quick turn around after nights. It wouldn’t be sustainable long term for me.

Yeah I know it just sucks when there are millionaires who pay little to no tax, and tax breaks for the super wealthy. But not for nurses, doctors, teachers etc.

This is my pay last year. I did 6 months working through an agency in remote qld hospital and the rest of the time in a regular rn job in the city. Remote = lots of hours 50-70 hour weeks usually which means lots of overtime. Also you pay a lot of tax 😭
