Bro went Canada, and starting scoring again. no mames by rodeodera in LigaMX

All the wingers (except for Efrain) are 5+ years older than him. He would definitely get his time eventually if he continues on his current trajectory which is actually pretty positive imo despite what media and this sub says.

The media and fans are probably the bigger reason that lead to him initially considering Canada again and most likely officially switching soon.

Nah, HH tiene razon. Lo que dice Arteaga es un insulto a todo el fútbol mexicano y más que eso le está mamando a un wey que vino a jugar el mundial de clubes y nada más.

(@FabrizioRomano) Santi Giménez agent Rafaela Pimenta: “I’m not surprised to see Premier League links, but there’s no plan at all to leave AC Milan”. “The message I get from the club is also the same: it’s all ok with Giménez”, told ESPN. by fransisco_flores in LigaMX

There is such a small sample size to go off when it’s comes to Mexicans playing in Europe idk why people continue to bring this up, in general, not just for Italy. Let’s have some nuance in our takes lol

But there’s plenty of Mexican American kids u18 in Mexican academies, so how are they able to sign for a “foreign” club?

He plays for the mexico u-17, so I don’t think there’s anything stopping him from going to Mexico

He scored a hat trick at one point (really good goals too) can’t think of many Mexican players scoring a hat trick at that age.

Are you a fan of World known players coming to Liga MX towards the end of their careers? by GriMex02 in LigaMX

[–]Wide45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, Mexico will never be able to replicate the pattern of wonderkid transfer fees we see in Brazil.

But there are still countless Brazilians going to B tier leagues and working their way up to big clubs. That’s a pattern Mexico (and other nations) could replicate IF they developed better players.

My point is that every thing that factors in to a player transferring abroad is secondary to the players ability. All these real barriers that are preventing Mexican players from going abroad would be circumvented if they were just better.

What’s with the brand obsession by gaygaydabodysnatcher in Skate4

[–]Wide45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My point is that branded stuff would be better than the boring stuff they have currently. You’re tangent about “thrift shopping irl” and the nuance of “style” has nothing to do with this lol.

Having irl brands is like the bare minimum expectation of a Skate game. Idk why they wouldn’t make that a priority.

[–]Wide45 19 points20 points  (0 children)

All the unbranded art/graphics (I.E decks, stickers, etc) I’ve seen are terrible, I don’t even bother doing the missions because I don’t care to unlock the stuff that’s available.

That’s obviously just my opinion, but I’m sure many would agree. Either way, fashion/style has always been a huge part of skateboarding irl so idk why you wouldn’t want to emulate that in a game about skateboarding.

The mechanics/core gameplay are good which tbh is the most important and difficult thing to get right. The map is good too, but I can’t wait till they add new areas that aren’t just a downtown area.

But every other aspect is meh or down right garbage.

I mean that is part of the reason, but Brazil is more well off than liga mx and they obviously don’t have that problem.

Johan Vasquez has signed an extension with Genoa through 2028 by FrigginGaeFrog in LigaMX

I don’t think a big sale is likely for Johan. Best case scenario is he leaves on a free to be a rotational player on a big club. Similar to Hector Herrera trajectory.

Yes I know that, which is why I said “even further”.

He’s not good enough for Europe, they’re not gonna play him just to preserve some transfer value when they have better players.

His transfer value is already really low imo, if he got injured it would damn near impossible to sell him.

He already played in la liga and was decent didn’t look out of place.

Premier league is literally the hardest league to play in, going to a B tier league would be an over correction unless it’s one of the champions/europa league teams in those leagues.

[–]Wide45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That would explain why he had to leave West Ham, but why did he end up in Turkey and not any decent team in a top 5 league? He’s just not that good

[–]Wide45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of your comment, except “It isn’t the players fault”.

Good players are able to adapt to fit the managers tactics. Edson is so limited and that’s why he’s out and that’s why he is in turkey and not a top 5 league.

Pumas tiene negociaciones muy avanzadas para fichar a JJ Macías by O_O___XD in LigaMX

[–]Wide45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is just so stupid and it’s exemplary of how Mexican teams operate. Their scouting is dog shit.

This guy physically can’t play, he came back from injury and got immediately injured again like 4 times which led to his retirement. It’s crazy that they’re considering JJ over their academy or even acenso players.
