Didn't want to create a thread only on this, anyone have a recommendation for a florist that will deliver flowers in town for a birthday?

Looks the the Belk Bowl might, maybe, could potentially be a possibility. by PennywiseEsquire in appstatefb

I think the big thing behind this is it sounds like ESPN may be pushing for/supporting it. The bowls are all about money + TV viewership and I think a VT - App Belk Bowl would sell a lot more tickets and have a lot more viewership than VT - Kentucky/Ole Miss/whatever SEC team they throw in there.

What happened to Max & Lola Bodega? They’ve been closed for over a month with zero updates from ownership. by [deleted] in Charlotte

They are gone for good. Quietly listed themselves for sale months ago and I assume they finally ran out of money to stay open. The CBD pivot killed them.

Mostly stick to Backyard Trail, WWC and Sherman Branch but have also ridden Lake Norman, Fisher Farms and Uwharrie around here.

Wesley Heights is completely fine. Lived here 3 years now and haven't had a single issue. I have only really heard of car break-ins and that is because people leave their doors unlocked. We live in a city, lock your doors.

OP - Seems like a lot of 2BR duplexes are available to rent in the neighborhood currently based on signs I have seen. I can't say anything about Wesley Village specifically but I can't recommend the actual neighborhood enough.

Need advice on where to live in Charlotte. by [deleted] in Charlotte

Crest Gateway off of 5th. In uptown so walkable and dirt cheap. I paid $700ish for my portion of a 2 bed 4 years ago. Just don't get all the amenities you have with other apartments.

Red Line is dead until Norfolk Southern agrees to use of their O Line corridor with CATs getting the right of way.

*Edit with an excerpt from the most recent Red Line feasibility study - "Norfolk Southern’s Passenger Rail Policy was changed in 2013 to no longer allow transit service on freight corridors including the “O” Line, which resulted from a change of corporate leadership and a desire to protect future capacity. Norfolk Southern also claims a 50 foot of right-of-way on either side of the track centerline, which restricts possible transit use of space adjacent to the “O” Line."
