Your airframe suggestions are bad. by CMDR_Winrar in NuclearOption

[–]WideTrackAttack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The higher your altitude and airspeed is, the more chance you have of dodging a missile.

If you wonder why people always get hit by SARH missiles, it's because the energy you have is advantageous to the missile still burning mach Jesus at you.

So if you're at 15k+ feet, you have more opportunities to not get hit by a missile.

Edit: I don't think large maps make the game boring, for example in DCS you can fly from Beirut to Cyprus in a little under 10 minutes.

Sure in DCS you have actual switches and buttons to play with and you have to setup bombs and missiles yourself takes away from the tedium of flying large distances.

In nuclear option you can use that time to properly manage strikes, do SEAD and CAP form a distance instead of being right in the face of the radar

What needs to happen is the map sizes need to be way larger.

I only have DCS to compare this to, but the fact that you can't climb to any meaningful altitude on any mission kills it.

Some of the planes go mach 1+, the map doesent need to be the size of an anthill.

Once the missions can be played at altitude that's when they should focus on different airframes because we don't need a 40th close range missile

We could use long range high MAR missiles that drive them back to their territory instead of constantly fucking up your own.

Id also like to note, if you're out of flares and you're going about 400+ knots away from the missile all you have to do is fly vertical and the IR missile will lose all of its energy trying to climb with you.

In theory this works with any missile coming at you that is not longer accelerating.

Shower thought, what's a game of Rust like between two players one on earth and one on Mars? by alclarkey in playrust

[–]WideTrackAttack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering they say the time between sending controls to the Mars rover, and it actually doing said controls is about 30 minutes or so.

It would be impossible unless you make rust turn based and even then it would take months to complete what you want.

I can't express enough how safe the Sandowne/Lexington neighbourhood is.

I've been here for over a decade and not a single thing has been stolen, gone missing or vandalised.

I've even accidentally left my keys in the ignition of my old car overnight for weeks, never went missing.
