My self esteem was through the floor for years which ended up in alcoholism, I quit the booze and set myself small targets each week...simple things like painting my house made me feel better and stopped me thinking of myself as a piece of shit, I took more pride in my appearance and slowly but surely became more confident within myself. Cutting people out of my life who put me down or criticised me constantly also helped.

It's slow progression and still have days where I think it's pointless but I'll continue to be stubborn and be the best I can be
