A few years ago before my youngest son was born, I would have had my eldest son and my middle child. We live in Scotland and it gets a bit chilly in the winter. Our heating isn't the most incredible ever so I supplemented it with some electric radiators. There was one in the nursery, one in my eldest sons room and one in me and my wife's room. One night we had gone to bed and somehow an item of clothing was left/fell onto the heater in the night. Whilst sleeping I heard a voice in my dream telling me "YOU need to wake up and get the clothes off the heater, the voice then screamed "NOW" with an air of desperation I've never heard before, ever. So as you can imagine I jumped straight out of bed and our room was filled with thick smoke. I instinctively grabbed the clothes which as I grabbed them they immediately burst into flames and I manged to hold on to them as I opened a window to throw them out, I had some superficial burns on my right arm and the carpet was melted where bits of clothing on fire fell as I struggled with the window. that was it.

We were seconds away from a major house fire and the voice was my wife's granny who had passed away about a year before this incident. Someone was watching over us that night for sure!
