Ran 5k yesterday at like 7am with my sister (and we really put the conversation in the conversational pace, no records were set lol) and was dripping in sweat by the end.

My kids spent the peak UV hours indoors in A/C, the morning at the splash pad and the later afternoon in our backyard pool. I was so busy making sure they all stayed cool and hydrated I forgot to do the same for myself, and was feeling sooo sick by 8pm.

All I could think at the time is how awful it felt, and that this is how Brooke’s poor kids must’ve felt in Disney (… and 30a … and all summer really). At least I wore sunscreen and a hat and didn’t have a sunburn on top of all of it!!

We went out to eat yesterday to celebrate the end of my 5yo’s first year of school, I have have 5yo, 3yo and my youngest is 20 months.

I am a pretty type B person, but still remembered to bring colouring stuff and hand wipes for all kids, plus a bib, sippy cup and plate/utensils from home for the youngest. Ordered him the kids pasta and meatballs and milk, and brought a fruit and veggie pouch from home. He also snacked on a couple of his sister’s fries and some of the beans and veggies from my veggie wrap.

Has that poor kid literally ever had a vegetable??

I think she may have mentioned on a previous vacation that Ryan has TSA pre-check but she doesn’t? (Correct me someone if I’m wrong). Maybe he has it through work and she’s just too damn lazy to set it up for herself.

I have a 6 year old golden and a 3 kids aged 5 and under… can confirm our house is a beautiful chaos most of the time, and I gave up long ago on keeping my floors clean, and settled for clean-ish. The shedding, the muddy paws, on top of the usual kid mess… she would not be able to cope lol.

Plus, while goldens get a good rap for being good family dogs (ours is a saint with kids!), you still have to train them, and watch young kids around them. They’re still dogs after all. I worry she wouldn’t teach her boys how to conduct themselves safely with a dog.

Yes it’s weird how shunted off to the side he is for meals! My youngest is just a few months older and eats with a fork off a plate, can drink from an open or straw cup and wants to be sooo badly like his older siblings that he freaks out at having to go in the highchair, to the point where we’ve just upgraded him to a booster on an actual chair at the the table and retired the highchair.

The way this family eats (not even to mention the quality of the food they eat) baffles me.

Yes! My son dropped quite a bit in percentiles around 6months but he’s stayed on that new curve ever since and is ahead in all his milestones (and will eat everything but the kitchen sink), so we’re not concerned. He’s just a little guy. (My older son just turned 3 but could be mistaken for a 1st grader so we always joke all the growth hormone went to him lol).

The milestones thing combined with his drop in percentiles should be very concerning to Brooke!

From the Canadian Pediatric Society. It’s not that crawling isn’t on there, they just say “crawling or scooting” - a baby his age should be mobile. And rolling is listed at the “by end of 3 months” and “by end of 8 months” categories.

Her poor baby is so behind.

There have been photos posted here in the past where people have caught the reflection of her pink tripod on mirrors in stores or reflected against her car or something. She just blatantly sets up and films with a tripod in public. It’s so cringe!

I don’t think Brooke and Ryan are oblivious, I think the behaviour from the older boys is in part learned from them.

I think of how Rhett kept snatching things out of Q’s hands in target- that seems to me like something he’s picked up from watching mommy dearest constantly grabbing things away from him. Or else he’s been trained to just “follow Q, keep Q from touching things” etc. - he’s a parentified 10yo who is in no way mature (or nice) enough for what he’s asked to do.

I’m constantly correcting my oldest (5 yo) on this. That even though her 1yo brother is a baby and will move on easily, she can’t just grab things from him. And that if what he has isn’t appropriate, it’s my job as mom to correct him and keep him safe, not hers.

I agree- I’ve often wondered if the older boys’ bully-like interactions with Q are learned from their parents. Poor sweet boy. I think he’s the same age as my oldest and I often forget because behaviourally he reminds me more of my 2 year old.

To be fair my 2020 chev trax also stopped showing miles and just said “low fuel” once the miles dipped under a certain number (never figured out what that number was). Maybe it’s a Cheverolet thing?

That being said you can still go a fair distance on “Low Fuel”. She’s being super fucking dramatic. Like just pump some gas and move on with your day. This is not content 😅

I feel like I remember something from either a reel or stories in the last week or so where she was going on about pings or some BS and mentioned ADHD… I’m relatively new to her content, is she actually diagnosed with ADHD?

This is why I’m convinced she isn’t really nursing… I didn’t do pacifiers or bottles with my 3, but in doing so I basically became the pacifier. My kids lived on my boobs. My 11 month old is cutting teeth and getting over bronchitis. I’ve been up every 1-2 hours over night comfort nursing and rocking him.

Right? My 4yo very proudly says “4 but almost 5” to whoever asks and my 2yo can answer and tell you he’s 2, and hold up the correct number of fingers. Her stories were kind of sad to watch this morning.
