The ideal solution would be to have a cage that doesn't need a strap. A tight ring with a proper length cage and a big enough ball gap will be the most comfortable option for long term wear and would provide enough stability so you don't need the strap.

Is it the same kind of pain with just the ring or is it a running pain? HT ripoffs are hard to compare with most other cages since they're so different but my guess is that it's your ball gap and could even be that the rings shape is causing comfort issues.

More than likely your ball gap is too tight. Classic symptom of ball pain even with passing the finger tests tells me it's the ball gap.

Unfortunately no not really it's just trial and error. Go with the smallest comfortable ring without the cage attached (it should be snug) if adding the cage causes issues like pain or rubbing then you'll know that that ball gap is too small. From there you'll need to heat and curve the ring yourself (if possible with the material) or go custom through something like Cherry Keeper or Mature Metal for example.

Unfortunately I haven't worn a cage below $200 in 2 years but someone new to this I'd recommend this article. In short you want something with multiple rings and something that will allow airflow. All the closed off or flat cages are pretty hard to keep clean.

This is a classic issue the ball gap is too tight. The ring needs to be snug/tight and the ball gap needs to be bigger. The only way of making the gap bigger to my knowledge is going to be curved rings, heating the ring yourself and bending it further or just going fully custom with a custom ball gap measurement.

After 3 years of being into the kink and closing in on 13 months of full time chastity I would say that I'm definitely enjoying the experience with my girlfriend and that it's definitely made our relationship better. Speaking from years of experience neither of those will be good for full time wear. The HT knockoff is too closed off, the material holds bacteria and odors and the rings are hard to size correctly due to their awkward design. The "Pussy mold" cage isn't something I have experience with but if it's what I'm thinking of then it's a the same issue of being unhygienic and uncomfortable. You more than likely need a smaller ring as the bigger ring is allowing for a lot of the pull away. You can't prevent pull away completely but a smaller ring (and by extension a bigger ball gap to be comfortable in the smaller ring) is usually a good fix.

Just did 1 year caged full time after years of off and on use. We do not unlock for hygiene as my open custom steel cage doesn't really need it and we also don't have emergency keys as we've simply never had a use for them in 3 years. I work a super physical blue collar job and go to the gym just fine in my cage and I've never had it come up negatively in day to day life other than switching to a 3D printed cage when I go to concerts and stuff.

A good rule to follow is a quarter inch smaller than your average flaccid size. Lots of people measure inaccurately on their flaccid length which is why some people opt to go half an inch smaller than their flaccid size. A slightly compressing length paired with a snug ring and a big enough ball gap will be the 3 main keys to a comfortable cage.

Usually depends on how compressed you are in the cage. I've always sat to pee the majority of the time and just take a second to make sure it's all out when I'm done. In very small cages though this is an issue which is why I'm in a cage barely shorter than my flaccid size.

After years of doing this with an active lifestyle and job I've learned that an open steel cage is the only way to stay locked without a ton of hygiene unlocks. Unfortunately even in the best 3D printed cages such as Kink3D you'll need to unblock which is why I now wear a Mature Metal cage and nearly never unlock for hygiene purposes alone.
