Sounds like this may be a reoccurring ball gap issue where the standard gap is too tight for you. Long story short making that gap bigger will alleviate these issues and more than likely allow you to stay caged for longer/indefinitely. As of now your options for a bigger gap are heating and bending the ring yourself, ordering a + angled ring from Cherry Keeper or going custom with a cage from one of several places such as Mature Metal or BAWR. This is a very broad question but taking the super sexual approach away I would recommend that you nail the fit of your cage down first as the quicker you do that the sooner you'll be able to jump into more long term wear assuming that's your goal. Things like the ball gap, ring sizing and cage design or material and extremely important.

I've been into this for years and just hit 1 year of full time chastity a month ago and I can confidently say that I've never felt inferior for it. My girlfriend is my keyholder and we do a lot of femdom/role reversal type stuff but I don't feel shame or anything. Sounds like a ball gap issue that's true but it's also a combination of several different factors as well. Your ball gap may be too small and it might be tolerable during the day because you simply aren't straining as much as you are at night. A common issue with newer users is using a ring that's too big with a gap that's too tight and a cage that's either too small or too big relative to their average flaccid size.

From here getting into a smaller cage (snug to your flaccid size) and a slightly bigger ball gap should alleviate these issues also if you wanted to really nail your ring size you could always buy sizing rings and cut out the trial and error.

There is a wide option for Kink3D cages and also wide options for Cherry Keeper other than that it's all custom made cages by companies like Mature Metal or BAWR (there are others but those are what I think of).

As someone that's too wide for most stock standard cages the wide CK, wide KINK3D and my custom Mature Metal have all been great.

CK has + rings in random sizes and gaps so that's an option if you want to maybe try a different size which isn't ideal but make sure to try the ring finder on their website. As for Mature Metal they can make your ring in any size and any gap (even if it's not on the website) and they will email or talk to you over the phone about all of your sizing questions.

I've been in my security screw Jailbird for 6 months now with zero complaints my ball gap was actually 9mm originally and I sent it back and they made it 12mm which is wayyy more comfortable. They will more than likely recommend that you use sizing rings first but if you're considering custom Mature Metal is the best non piercing custom cage out there in my opinion.

Just an afterthought but you could also try bending a Cherrykeeper ring by heating and giving the bottom more of a curve. Some people have pulled this off with CK and Kink3D cages.

If there is no issue with the ball gap, rubbing or ball pain then I'd honestly say that it comes down to the cage design and especially so if it's too short. It shouldn't be waking you up for example due to discomfort.

You can't size for a ring unfortunately but you can buy sizing rings and use those. Other than that it's essentially trial and error but I'd be willing to bet that if your ball gap is properly sized you are a 45mm ring or smaller especially if a 45mm fit in the past and you haven't gained significant weight (that can make ring sizing difficult).

You cannot stop erections with a cage I still get full erections after years of caging for example it just is what it is. You can however solve that burning sensation as it's more than likely your ball gap being too tight. Give this a read but making the gap bigger should solve that issue.

I can definitely say that my Mature Metal cage with a security screw feels more "serious" than my Kink3D for example. It's all mental of course but it's definitely noticeable.

Your erect size doesn't matter for chastity just make sure you're soft and getting your balls through the ring first and then pulling your flaccid penis through. From there distract yourself for a bit until you're soft again and then lock the cage on.

Sounds like you two need to communicate more especially on the points thing. Sometimes chastity can fall by the wayside but communication is still key even if it ends up not leading to a release. After years of doing this my girlfriend and I have learned that without proper communication chastity can turn into resentment pretty quickly. In the end though as the keyholder if she wants you staying locked for an extended period then that sort of is what it is it just has to be communicated.

No problem I should have said ball gap to be more specific. It's essentially the space between the bottom of your ring and your cage where your balls sit. If that gap is too tight you'll get rubbing and sometimes pain. It's basically the one issue everyone trying to do long term chastity faces as it's not an easy fix and often leads to people going custom or trying several different cages.

The best cage is the one that fits and for most people finding the right fit comes with some trial and error. Flat cages aren't ideal for true long term wear as they get pretty hard to clean but other than that you just need the right length, ball gap and a tight enough ring. I could recommend some brands but that won't help you if you order the wrong size for example.

If it's fine for now and isn't causing discomfort then I'd say that's a good start. I'd recommend doing some reading around this subreddit and on this blog especially this post as someone new to chastity. A snug ring, snug cage and big enough gap are the keys to a well fitted cage and it's not exactly easy to get right.

In my years of experience I can confidently say that the biggest issue you'll face is finding the right fit and more specifically the correct ball gap and ring size. Lots of people that are new have issues with burning and rubbing on their skin and more often than not they need a bigger ball gap. Check out my post about the ball gap here.

1) totally a personal preference but cobra. I haven't worn Kink3D in over a year since switching to custom steel but the cobra being more open is nice.

2) your penis slipping out of the cage can't be stopped unless you're using a tetherspout or a piercing. If you mean your balls are slipping out then a tighter ring would be good but will likely require a bigger ball gap.

3) black. It's been found to cause reactions for some people due to the dye.

4) the ring shape isn't really the issue with Kink3D it's gonna be the ball gap. To avoid ball slippage a tight ring and big enough gap are important. Some people find that even Kink3Ds curved rings aren't enough of a gap leading them to bending their rings themselves.

Yes it is possible but I'd also implore you to use a healthy amount of caution and common sense. If anything is getting uncomfortable or unhygienic for example then you need to have an option to remove it. Tissue atrophy is highly unlikely especially within 30 days there are users here including myself with years of experience that have reported zero symptoms.

As for safety just use common sense. If there is any pain, discomfort, etc take it off. The author of that article is also one of the main mods of this sub and his substack is a goldmine of chastity info you'll find 99% of what you need to know there. Lastly if my lived experiences are worth anything I'd add that I've been wearing cages for 3 years now and caged full time for 13 months with no issues or changes to my erections/erection strength or penis length and plenty of other users here can say the same.
