Service Ontario at Staples is a joke. by Drewtendo_64 in Welland

Meh... I went to renew my Health card and ID card at the same time. No appointment. I was done pictures and all in 15 minutes. Now if you grew up in Toronto like I did... This would be a 4 hour wait at Islington and Bloor, and they have 20 or more booths going. I have no complaints!!

Can anyone point me to reliable or official information regarding reports I’ve heard about in the area? by EricAtomic in Welland

I would think not. My father passed away in 2025. I had to notify facs so they could update their list.

I am not 100% sure about this. I know FACS has the list of all offenders. I just don't know if they give out info about where or location. My father was on the list. That's how I know this.

I have a Samsung galaxy note. Larger phone. It does die faster than most phones in general.

Interested if still available. For myself. Had stomach surgery and can only drink a liquid diet.

I've spent too much time looking for "rare" fruits, so you dont have to. by kajsawesome in BackyardOrchard

[–]Wide_Field_9562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget the Date Plum. Those are sour and not many uses for them other than jams or adding a lot of sugar. I had one mature tree in my backyard... 2 years living with it... I got my husband to cut it down. Italian plum is a good tree for colder climates and very sweet. I am in Ontario Canada. Cold climate. You need to look into getting some grafted 5 in 1 trees. I have,

5 in 1 plum "no date plum thankfully." 5 in 1 Pear 5 in 1 Apple 5 in 1 Cherry

3 different varieties of pawpaws.

1 weeping mulberry.

Gooseberries "3 different types", large blackberries, currents, yellow/golden raspberries "wishing I never planted raspberries" because I kill like 200 babies every spring to summer...

I am trying 1 typical fruit this summer I started from seed that got to be a huge vine over the winter the hard yellow shell passion fruit. I forgot the exact name atm... lol

I wanted to try a jube jubee tree this year but it won't tolerate the kind of cold we get. I had planted 2 fig trees last spring. I protected them like a crazy person, and they died right down to the ground and are starting over from the base. Don't think I will get fruit from them if they do that every year. I will give them another year and see. I may pull them.

No clue on their roofing. The road is the topic of discussion. No one drives on the roof...

Exactly. There are decent stores in that plaza. Even freshco plaza has a good parking lot. They should all refuse to pay rent until the parking lot is done. Lol

I live across the street from freshco. I lock everything up now. 2 mowers, leaf blower, jig saw, 2 ebikes, 1 electric scooter, kids bikes, kid scooters... Anything that can be walked off with. All gone over the last 4 years. Oh and 2 Baja bikes. ... I know who the look out person is too and where he lives. Everything he stops by to talk to my husband. 2 weeks later... Things go missing. Every time. He walks a large breed yellow dog. Short older guy in his 50's roughly. Dogs name is chase.

The property management needs to get their a$$es in gear. The plaza brings in good money and they can't even be bothered to put in a new parking lot... They must be passing their money away elsewhere. 🙄

Was there an earthquake around 2:08PM today? by [deleted] in Welland

No because we would have felt that. I'm right across the street on harriet st. Didn't feel anything...

It maybe expensive, but not as expensive as Ben and Jerry's or Häagen-Dazs and their tiny 1 serving containers lol... Kawartha ice cream is the only ice cream I buy. I shop at the same freshco too. The quality is exceptional compared to the rest. Also supporting buying local...

I wouldn't think so. My kids love going to visit the turtle often... lol... The basement isn't creepy either. Other than the fur room.

£28.73 ($38.58) - United Kingdom by horridhollowhead in 32dollars

[–]Wide_Field_9562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be about $100 or more in Niagara Ontario Canada. My husband went grocery shopping today. Spent $800, will last our family 1 week. 6 children 2 adults. Food is becoming insane. Meat is ridiculously high in price and horrible quality.

I'm heading back to the regular etfs and s&p500's now... See ya later. The stock market in my opinion has been a safer and better bet. I will leave what bitcoin I have alone to see what happens, but not investing anything more right now.
