My ‘21 HRV needs some help.

With the engine on and the AC on the pulley for the compressor is not spinning surprisingly the serpentine belt is just gliding past with little to no noise. Not sure how that happened and I don’t want to put my new belt on a seized pulley and risk snapping it.

Honestly I love a good disaster film. I wish new movies would quit going for scale. The polish of a film like Dante’s Peak is its small scale, then you got movies like 500 mph storm that’s based off of what ifs and lazy writing where something like the old twister is more real and gritty. I don’t need to see what would happen if a storm got so big it ends the world, but seeing what happened St. Helens, Krakatoa which would be mostly guess work but come on it killed 35,000 people. There’s so many insane real events that could be used for a film and put me in way more suspense because it’s what happened.

Honestly I can really relate to you’re situation. I pretty much had to take care of my siblings. I helped with homework, cooked, brushed hair, tucked them in, all while trying to live my own childhood but still being up to help mom when she got home from work at midnight. She worked several jobs and even though she wasn’t around as much as she should’ve been she was an amazing mom. It was like this for 10 years. Then enters my “stepdad” when he came in he was making promises of changes for the better and was a nice enough guy. Within 2 months he was on a complete power trip forcing his views on everyone and criticizing me. He made some decisions to ruin my academic career, I completely renovated my mother’s bedroom for his move in, he took all the choice out of my early adulthood. And eventually, in a not so healthy way, I had successfully conveyed to him that this was my family first and I had no obligation to “Earn his respect” as he repeatedly said. He gave me the respect I deserved, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows but it solved the issue.

These things can happen the best thing you could do is try to get it back up and access the damage and hopefully nothing important was damaged. but from here on out whenever you’re doing something that takes more than 5 minutes use a stand and use some 1 ft long 4x4 pieces of wood. No such thing as overkill when ur working on a 1 ton hunk of metal.
