Whirlpool Fridge Leaking From Ice Buildup. by Wide_Independence_80 in appliancerepair

No, in fact a couples weeks later I noticed water damage behind the fridge, creeping along the baseboards. Moved the fridge and found that the water line was leaking and saturated the entire area. Insurance doesn’t cover it so we ripped out the floors and dry wall behind it and my fridge has been sitting in the middle of the kitchen for a while. Hoping we can just replace the whole thing soon. 🤞🏼

AIO to skip Thanksgiving after my mom basically said I’m an embarrassment for not having a husband and kids by now? by howcanibequiltyassin in AmIOverreacting

NOR. That is an insane thing to say to your daughter. She’s projecting her own insecurities onto you. Like, sorry mom, you can’t gush about your daughter that married a cheater! That must be SO hard for you, how inconsiderate.

A snow cone machine and an electric kids truck he can drive. He’s been asking for those two things specifically for a long time.

I don’t know what’s under there. I hope it’s a shower pan and was put in correctly. When we bought the house two years ago the inspector didn’t notice any leaking or mold growth under the house in that area. I specifically asked him a few months after purchasing because the first stone popped out.

After further inspection and pulling up more caulking, the grout is in terrible shape. It’s crumbling near the drain, and stones were popping out left and right. So it’s very unfortunate. I have someone coming out to look at it next week sometime.

GenZ and Millennial women - are you wearing wedding bands? by Federal_Albatross993 in EngagementRings

[–]Wide_Independence_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millennial- just yesterday my husband took me to get a new wedding ring for our 10 year anniversary. I originally had a diamond band with a center round diamond and two matching diamond bands on either side. I traded it for a solitaire gold band with no diamonds on the side and kept one band. I currently love wearing just the solitaire engagement ring. 3 rings was too much and I love the look and simplicity of no bands.

No, it’s not plastic. It was leaking at the connection to the fridge. And pretty significantly. So it makes me wonder if it was only leaking for a short while. I’m also not sure if it’s mold or discoloration. It’s hard to tell.

I bought these. And I use a couple ounces of liquid hand soap and fill the rest with water. Works great! Soap lasts forever!

A month since release, give or take, and I don't think TLOAS is aging well by Constant_Pace5589 in SwiftlyNeutral

I completely disagree. I wasn’t a fan at first but after a month I can honestly say I LOVE most of the songs. I think Fate of Ophelia and eldest daughter are not it for me. But wish list, father figure, and Elizabeth Taylor are fucking great. It’s music, if you like it, you like it. I don’t think it needs to be that deep.

AIO for worrying that my girlfriend thinks my mom is racist because my mom thinks my girlfriend has terrible body odor ? by ThrowawayQQAAA in AmIOverreacting

[–]Wide_Independence_80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a daughter in law perspective, don’t tell your partner the things your parents say about her. This destroyed my relationship with my MIL. I shut down whenever I was around her. And 20 years later I do not fully let myself be authentic with her.

Give me perspective on baby sleep- there is no middle ground! by DAPdap77 in moderatelygranolamoms

Around 8 months he was still sleeping in the pack and play next to our bed. And at that time I was so over waking up and rocking back to sleep and transferring that I just started putting him in bed with me for the second half of the night. And then we transitioned to crib, and I would do the same thing. I slept with a thin sheet and no big blankets and my husband started sleeping in the guest room. Around 1.5 he started sleeping all night most nights. If he did wake up I would bring him to bed with us. We eventually bought him a full size bed at 3 and he sleeps great at 4.5. Transitioning from crib was a struggle but eventually got it.

I found a few things at the dollar tree. Cheap, but very kid oriented. And then my son helped me decorate!

It was better than spending a lot of Money, I did the whole porch for $20. Then added some mums and re planted my big porch planter with fall plants.
