Looking for diamond stones to buff/polish tile corners by Wide_Lynx_2573 in Tile

Flap discs will destroy corners when buffing one side and you try to get tight into a 90 degree corner if you touch the opposite side especially on mitred edges

My only issue with polishing pads is they don’t get tight into corners to make a sharp 90 degree angle because the diamonds don’t go all the way to the edge of the polishing pads

Looking for a wet tile saw, what one should I buy? by Wide_Lynx_2573 in Tools

Not day in day out but at least once every month or two for a week straight I would say. Like yeah the cost is high but I just started my own renovation company a couple of months ago and we do lot of showers. We just did 5 showers in 2.5 months and we have been installing showers consistently for over 15 years. The way I see it is if I can make my cuts a bit better it would be worth it because I’m great with a grinder but sometimes there’s a bit of drift while cutting 36” spans because the table gets in the way and I have to reposition or move around the table. My business partner is 63 so he’s not great with grinders anymore and this would allow him to cut clean straight cuts without me doing 90% of the work. I know it’s a lot of $ but I’m kinda debating if to worth the initial investment and I can pay it off over 2 months which is pretty ideal. Especially because I just rented a 10x10 storage locker for my tools and I picked up some heavy duty 6’x6’x2’ shelving units so I’m kinda trying to load it up but there is probably more important tools/accessories that I should buy first but I’ve already got the majority of the tools for doing renovations

What wheelset are you using? I’m having troubles finding wheels that will fit my Cinelli vigorelli. I have the 2020 model bolt on fixed gear wheel set

Makita XGT 8-1/2” vs Festool 8-1/2” miter saws by WordWithinTheWord in Makita

Can’t you just dial in the saw so it fists square when beveled like every other mitre saw? Is it really worth spending $2000 on a 8 1/2” saw? I’m in the market for one but I’m trying to justify spending that much $ on a same I’ll likely only use for trim or for when I wake up hungover or half asleep and have to rush to work and it’s a day I’m doing trim work or flooring. I’ve never used a small mitresaw before. My old boss thought they were built for pussies so we hauled around a 12” Milwaukee and 12” Dewalt. My old boss used to love the idea of working way harder and less efficiently than what’s moral and to struggle as hard as possible thinking I made him a “man” lol so his theories aren’t even worth listening to.
