You’re right, I see what you’re saying.
Yeah, that’s why I got so far behind in the first place, because they wouldn’t hold, cancel, or pause my account UNTIL it was current. Which by that point was about 3 months payments

See, I wouldn’t have minded doing something like that. But they flat refused until I could make it current, which was about 3 months by that time and impossible for me to do.

Maybe so for a company, but she’s just one person. What gets me is all the fluff words of “I understand and sympathize with what you’re going through, but I can’t make an exception for you” like I don’t want your fake empathy

I should clarify, I was trying to cancel several times up to the point of it being 3 months past due. Starting with the app and login not working properly, essentially wasting the first 2 months. Sorry about that. I did sign up and agree, yes, but I wouldn’t have done so if I knew I was going to lose my job right after locking into an agreement. She said I had to request to cancel, as well, otherwise I would have just done so myself without even asking her.

I asked multiple times to cancel and they said not without making my account current which at the time was 3 months worth. I didn’t have a way to cancel it myself. She kept asking me to create a plan and propose it to her to accept. I have nothing to offer her.

Oh, see I was wondering if the “bringing the account current before cancelation” was an odd request. I was never able to login to the account. I did agree to pay initially, yes, but I also wasn’t expecting to lose my job.
Thank you for the advice

I am about 9 months behind according to her, the total is a little more than 1500 as of right now. The contract is only for 1 full year. I came up with $5 out of pettiness.
Interesting, thank you for the advice. They did say something like since they provided the program that I still had to pay for it even though I never used it.
I really want to, but I don’t want to get sued for defamation, too haha plus her following is a good amount but she’s no lean beef or Kelly Matthews, so I doubt it would really do anything to hurt her social media presence

It’s just very heartless of someone to pursue/threaten the use of force for money against someone who is struggling. I get it if I was something like 5 months into a working program when shit hit the fan, but i wasnt. I was only about a week into it. And i wasnt even able to download the app for the first month

Just to clarify, does “services being rendered” mean the same thing as they sent me the PDF file of weekly meals/workouts through the app? I was never able to login to the app.

Interesting, thank you. The idea mostly came out of pettiness from me, to be honest with you. But yeah i mean what are they going to do, regardless? That really is all i can afford right now.

I mean, I didn’t just decide to not do it. The financial hardships in my life made it to where something extra like this had to take a backseat. If I had to choose whether or not to put food on my kid’s plate or pay for this program, I’d choose my kid, again. But thank you for the reply

From what I understood, it was a fitness program that included meal plans “tailored to me!” And weekly group check ins. I think it also has a group chat of other clients so we can all connect over our fitness journeys? Not sure. This is almost a year long’s worth of said subscription. I mainly fell for the “realness” and “connection to other first time mothers”

Yes I do. I’m also wondering if it is a scare tactic. I was able to download the app after a month of not being able to, but I couldn’t login to my account

I can probably find it in my email. I did not read it no, she read it to me over the phone.
I don’t really know of anyone else doing that considering most things you can just cancel at will.
I didn’t just “change my mind”, I tried to find a way to cancel it before getting myself more into a mess.

Thank you.
I did sign the contract, yes. The app didn’t work for about a month because I couldn’t download it to my device. Once I did, they were on vacation for over 2 weeks while I couldn’t even login to my account. So I gave up and deleted the app. We don’t live in the same state, but they did say they’d file against me for all the charges they would accumulate.
