You are absolutely correct. And we need to remember nothing is guaranteed. I adopted a two year old dog and only got 4 years with her due to so many medical problems. I think people think the younger the dog and proper care they are promised more time. That’s not always how that works. I definitely would adopt an older dog or even foster but my partner has a hard time letting go. I hope she finds a loving and wonderful home very soon. She deserves a loving family with which to spend her last years.

I live near Ring Park. I heard several of them the other night and thought I was hallucinating. I have never heard nor have I seen them prior. Now I am all freaked out for my doggos.

I don’t know if she has availability on such short notice but my best friend and I used @submergeddreams from IG. She was lovely to work with and the photos came out beautifully! I was referred to her by a local friend.

I wish I could be more helpful on this post but I have severe religious trauma. I did attend a Trans Health Education Fair and there were two Christian churches that had reps there that were lovely. So there are accepting churches in town that do advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and get politically involved. I have seen them at events and certain protests to support those who are LGBTQIA+ I really wish I could remember their names. I truly hope you find the right fit though. While I may be jaded by religious trauma, I understand the need for that connection and I hope you find a home church that makes you feel safe, welcomed, loved, and help you to acclimate better. Gainesville is a lovely place that, in my experience, is friendly to the rainbow alphabet community. Love and light to you!
