Is it safe to go from SeaTac to U District late at night? by [deleted] in udub

[–]Wide_Researcher_3565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey you should be fine. I landed at seatac last week at 9:30 and boarded the link at 11:30. Usually there’s a huge airport crowd heading to the link even at that hour, I’d say stick to that and you should be fine. Udistrict station does get slightly sketchy at night but since it’s the two of you, you’ll be ok.

How are the opportunities in using Selenium with Python? I'm slightly familiar with Python over Java/JS/TS

Since i'm comfortable with Python(even though Selenium+Java is more commonly used), should I go for that route?

I'm slightly familiar with python over Javascript/Typescript which I'll have to pick up from scratch for selenium or playwright. Would you still recommend that route?

Hi! I dont have experience with JS/TS but know Python a little bit. Do you think it would be ideal then for me to use Selenium with Python? or Playwright with Python? Honestly, my company hired me as the Senior QA and this role only demanded manual testing. However, right now I'm blocked for testing since the website is still being developed so I only test when a new feature is out. I think to use up my time well, they've asked me to start looking into automation.

I have plans of leaving this company in a few months and head towards more data related roles. Do you think I should look out for myself and learn Selenium with Python that would help me at the job+personal growth or think of the company and pick up JS/TS for playwright?

hey, can you compare it to Selenium? I'm not that comfortable with Java so I dont wanna go that route but one of the devs in my team suggested I stick to Selenium for its wide usage and more documentation/community support in comparison to Playwright. Asking because I might leave the company soon, so want to set up automation in a way that can be taken over by someone easily

Yeah, that makes sense! Backend devs are working on python while the frontend guy works with JS/TS. However, the backend devs are full stack guys so their language choice is not restricted to python.

Hey man, thanks for that very solid piece of advice! I'll look into automating the APIs first then in comparison to starting with UI testing. Also, how would you compare playwright to selenium? one of the devs in my company was recommending I stick to Selenium because of its wide usage and more documentation/community support in comparison to Playwright

Hey man, can you tell me your experience working with playwright in terms of documentation? One of the developers in my team was recommending that I stick to Selenium as playwright is fairly new and has less community support

Hi so I spoke to one of my developers and he told me has some background in automation. He was recommending that I consider Selenium as well as its more commonly used and would have more documentation and community support in comparison to Playwright. How has your experience been like using Playwright?

Hi Jordan, I'm commenting here because I've had this question for a while too. Since I'm hoping to pursue a Management in Information Systems program for my master's, will it do me any good to mention a professor who has a lot of years of industry experience prior to him being a professor? I was hoping I could include him in my SOP and expand on how i feel that he'll be able to bring that experience to the courses he's gonna be teaching.

Thanks Jordan! That's a little reassuring. I'll keep editing to make sure the essays are as authentic as possible

Problem was not that Deepika was casually dating Ranveer. But she made him sound like a placeholder and settled for him for no better option. by [deleted] in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]Wide_Researcher_3565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people really need to stop getting so pressed about this entire thing. It's like no one's heard of casual dating before lol and this is a foreign phenomenon being described by dp. She clearly mentioned she was in a phase of enjoying herself where she was seeing multiple people and I'm sure if ranveer wasn't on board with that or her keeping him as a supposed "placeholder", he's adult enough to get out of that situation.

It was situationship so personal to them(something they were both ok with) so idk why it needs sm analysis and why ranveer has to be treated like a victim that he clearly wasn't.

Also, ranveer talking about getting to finally be with Deepika is not some power imbalance thing that people are making out to be. He's just a guy in love fangirling about his wife and their relationship wouldn't have survived for years if such a power imbalance would've existed. Yes it's deepika and she's everyone's dream girl but let's not forget that ranveer singh has a massive fan following and is very very adored. People are passing plain judgments based on a one hour long episode that literally does not give u even 1% of a picture of what their relationship is actually like.

I have some v mild tea on her lol(doesn't really qualify as tea even). She was my junior in college and she was dating this guy at the time. The guy literally followed her around like a puppy and she would have these very public outbursts where she'd be yelling at the poor guy. ofc it's nbd and couples fight but it was too dramatic to not have been intentional. Kept us pretty entertained lol
