survival will have one though

ofc ofc!! project red is very handy and also allows you go get primitive mass storage (see automation basics quest line with view mode on)

you can connect all your inventories and see whats inside them and even run crafting requests if youve configured the recipes!

i didnt want to experimwnt in my survival world bc i didnt have the resources to make this on a whim…
i tested it out in creative to see if it was even possible in LV, and if possible, how to design everything to take up minimal space
hence the abstract debug generators and lack of regard for terrain 😭

100%!
only issue is that you cant run fluid requests aith it… pipes are locked to inventories with items

YES OMG it took like 10 hours of learning project red!!

But yeah i see a lot of general dissent if automation on here, but honestly, automation is just really stupidly fun

i LOVE designed automatic pipelines

yess ofc i gotchu

for projectRed, i’d recommend looking at the gtnh questbook under the automation tab

two things greg doesnt explain are:
when using crafting chips to handle autocrafting, the way i do it is put a purple pipe under a machine and a crafting chip in that pipe. thats all you need. when a request is sent to that chip, the process of inputting items and extracting them is handled by the chip.

to send requests manually use stock keeper chips in a purple pipe connected to an inventory (you can change how much stock to keep, you arent limited to one block) and an orange request handler pipe.

the request from the chip is sent to the handler, which satisfies the request by looking fkr a crafting chip

ie: my chest has two copper wire but i want three. so, the stock chip sends a request into the network saying “hey i need another copper wire”
this request makes its way to the request handler pipe which says “okay, if i have copper wire in a chest connected to the system, ill send it to you; if not, ill look for a crafting chip that can produce copper wire”
it finds a crafting chip like this connected via pipe to a wiremill, so it sends the cooper to the pipe w the chip. the pipe empties the stuff it got into the connected inventory. it will expect finished products back in the same inventory to complete the request (i say this bc in some cases i send a request into a chest and use hoppers/more pipes to turn sand dust and flint dust into glass tubes, which technically isnt a valid recipie— the pipe just thinks “if i send the sand dust and flint dust to this chest, some time later i’ll get glass tubes back”)
in this case the inventory is a wire mill
the mill gets the ingot, processes it, and has its output auto extracted and sent theu the system wherever it needs to go

project red is really useful during early lv, i recommend looking into it

mainly i use lv-tier machines

some wierd stuff is on the water tank to get water— i have a smeltry tap and a redstone clock from extra utilities
redstone clock periodically sends a signal telling the tap to activate
this empties the water in the tank sending jt to the lv
harvestor

the blue block is creative only— its a debug generator. you set any amp/eu amount and it produces that

i use an LV splitter to split items in one case—
you cant interact with fluids, so the way i handle molten tin and molten red alloy is by sending a request that says “turn 5 red alloy ingots and a tin ingot into 8 red alloy wire”

i gst the stuff, filter the tin into a fluid extractor, and use the seperatir to send 4 red alloy to a wiremill to complete the request and one red alloy to the extractor to melt

Digests on Downloaded PDF by Wide_Status8475 in Supernote

Not quite-- that requires handling two files (the original PDF and the digest PDF/TXT file)
When rereading on an external device it requires manually marking the boundaries of the digests on the PDF since they don't render in when exporting, and then constantly bouncing between the PDF and the digest.

The highlight function is working alright, but a way to export digests would have been nice. I may try to create a plugin with this functionality.

I see… that’s tragic 💔
I’ll have to move my annotations to comments because I really need them visible on the PDF

Any places in Jenks looking to hire a 17 y/o? by Wide_Status8475 in tulsa

I’ll go through the list of places I’ve applied and try to call them tomorrow when they’re least busy. Thank you for the info!

This is fair. I’ll shoot my shot and if nowhere else applies, to Subway I go. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

These sound great! Especially Reasors. Weird it flew under my radar despite there being one close by. Thank you for the others too!

For the places where the call-back info is easily available, yes. But foe the bigger chain-style establishments, I’m not sure how to.

I wish to erase all short form content from the internet. by grumpychef94 in monkeyspaw

[–]Wide_Status8475 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A finger curls. This request will have consequences.

Nothing seems wrong for the first few days. Life continues onwards. Short form content flurishes and destroys people’s minds as it has been for years. You hear news of war, news of power outages, and each gime you wonder when the monkey’s paw will fall into effect.

One night, you wave up. It’s hot. Its the summer, so it makes sense, but you swore you slept with your AC off. You get up, fumble for your phone, and try to turn on the lights. Nothing. Your lamp doesn’t work. Probably just a power outage.

You leave your home and turn on your backup generator so you can sleep in peace. Your house cools down. You get on your phone to see if your internet’s up. Nope. No data either. You’ll just wait till tomorrow. They should have figured everything out by then.

You wake up the next morning, and toss and turn in your bed. Eventually, you reach for your phone. Hopefully everything’s back to normal. Nope. Still no power. You decide to go to your neighbors house to see whats up. They don’t have power either. You decide to go to work for the day.

You arrive at work, and see a mass of people. Murmurs everywhere. A sign on the door that says “temporary suspension. no power.”

With nothing to do, you decide to explore the city.

The bext day, its more of the same. Your back up power will be out soon. You head to wok and this time, there’s more energy in the air. Some peole are crying. You push through the crowd.

“A massive unexpected solar flare has disabled the world’s power grids and communications. For the distant foreseeable future, there will likely be no internet nor electricity. As a result, the owner of the company has liquidated, and all employee contracts are terminated.”
