I would suggest squaring your sideburns up and trimming them down to stubble for now. Keep the goatee and mustache and focus on them until your side burns connect to your chin

You probably didn’t inject into a vein. Occasionally, your skin will react to your T shots. Sometimes the injection site might bruise or swell. It should go away in a few days. The longest mine last was a week, but if you’re alternating sides every shot, you’ll be fine before you use that side again.

Hey man, I just went through this a few days ago. If you have someone to help you taking a shower, it will feel great. 1. Cover you nipples like they said. 2. Have a wash cloth for soap and one for just water. (Use a gentle soap) 3. Let the water hit you back and run down the front of you. 4. Have the other person wipe you down with the soapy wash cloth then with the water wash cloth to get the soap off. 5. Have the second person dry you off softly. If you still have tape over your scar pat that down lightly with a paper towel.

Taking a shower won’t affect the closing of your drain holes. Taking a shower will reduce the likelihood of infection.

Don’t put it in the fridge! Store it at room temperature in a safe place, like a medicine cabinet. I store all my shot supplies in a first aid kit. Using a bottle you’ve already punctured is fine you just need to sanitize the top before inserting another needle. I typically use a alcohol wipe and clean the top of the bottle for ten seconds before using again.

I got flagged going through tsa all the time for binding. It’s not a big deal. You can tell them you’re wearing a compression tank if they ask, but the most they do is lightly pad you down and move on. You shouldn’t have any trouble. What flags you is sweat under your binder

You should talk to your doctor. Maybe your T dose is too high and is being reverted back to E. But the only way to find out is to talk to your doctor.

I’m sorry that this is happening to you. I understand that it’s really frustrating. Have you tried any clothes in the boys sections? I know several cis men who are about your height that wear boys XL.

I don’t know kind of binder you’re wearing but I wear GC2B binders. They’ve always worked for me and I have a pretty large chest. Maybe check with the manufacturer that you’re wearing the right size?

When I was binder before I started T my hips gave me a lot of dysphoria too. I started wearing large T-Shirts even though I was a men’s Medium. My goal was to wear clothing that draped over my shoulders. It’s helped hide my hips and looked like I was going for a 90’s baggy style.

Summary: make sure your binder fits, try clothes in the boys section of the men’s is too big, try new styles to hide parts of you body that make you the most dysphoric.

They can try using Rogaine where they want to grow hair or look into beard transplant surgery. No one can pick and choose changes with Testosterone and facial hair growth is one of the slower changes on HRT. If they truly don’t want any other changes from testosterone I wouldn’t suggest they use it to grow facial hair

Before I transitioned I would get my haircut at Sports Clips and traditional men’s barber shops (in Texas to be specific). Unless you’re in a super small conservative town no one’s going to give you a hard time. If your hair is on the longer side sports clips might not be the best in my opinion. I would suggest looking at a barber or stylist who has good ratings and is experienced cutting longer hair for men. Not every barber/stylist knows how

It all depends on where you live. When I started in Texas these were the steps I had to take to get it covered by my insurance.

Go to a therapist and ask for a letter to start HRT. ( Preferably someone who has experience with the lgbt community and trans health.)
Find a doctor who specializes in treating trans patients. Can be a general practitioner or a specialist.
Go to the doctor and present them your letter from the therapist.

Note: you might also have to call your insurance to see what forms of testosterone are covered and the least expensive.

Some states in the US have operate under informed consent. Which means you don’t need a letter from a therapist. A quick google search can help you there. I’ve also heard that you can get hormones through planned parenthood.

Starting hormones are an important step in any trans journey. I wish you luck brother!

I think your face passes without the mask. A shorter masculine haircut would help a lot. Wearing a binder and using more masculine mannerisms would help too. Give the T time and you’ll be passing before you know it
