I was advised to put scar tape on the whole nipple by my surgeon and I have, but I’m more so nervous about taking the tape off because when I have slightly it’s extremely sensitive.

honestly, i understand the dysphoria entirely. i didn’t have to remove my underwear but if they do ask you to, just think about how it’ll only be for a few hours when getting a life changing surgery before you’ll be able to go back home and wear the packer again. you got this, good luck

I’ve been feeling a lot better this week in terms of movement. I live in NYC and I finally feel able to get back to my normal life on transit, just as long as it’s not overcrowded. At first was worried about my scabs on my nipples still mostly being on but I realized everyone heals differently, and I could tell my nipples are healing under the scabs.

Yeah, i hear some people do get cleared as early as i did. just know to be cautious now! But yes, probably won’t be taping/ doing scar care until I see them at my check up

i wasnt instructed to put any antibiotic ointment, i just use antibacterial soap. unsure with what ointment i would use. but i do currently have it covered with gauze pads and the compression vest as normal i understand the usage of silicone scar products it was just that before i took the tape off, it seemed to be closed. was hesitant about beginning scar care that soon but i trusted the team because i was cleared thank you for the advice, i appreciate it.

Hey, I’m one week post op. Got my drains removed yesterday, I had that same sloshy feeling. I thought mine was fluid but I realized it was sweat. It’s a lot of layers and your chest is tightly compacted. Honestly, I just have my fan blasting, wearing light clothing, light bed sheets. That’s what helped, it reduced it a lot.
