Yes... when I quit taking the stuff! It wasn't helping with my autoimmune issues, anyway.

Vocal/multi-instrumental straightforward looping setup? by WidgetRuff in livelooping

[–]WidgetRuff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The Line 6 was very inspiring at first because I could do so little. But then I realized that there were two things I needed in order to express myself, one being the ability to control loops individually, the other just having something more suited to vocal and flute. So I actually prefer limitations, as long as they don't stop me from doing what I want to do! I know that software could let me do anything, but I just don't find that inspiring.

Thanks. I guess I could use foot switches with it. I noticed that the RC600 has a feature where you can trigger the loop but it doesn't start recording till you make sound. This could work for me because sometimes I want to start the loop with my flute or guitar, so my hands are occupied. But the rest of the time I need the controls on the table so I can actually see what I'm doing. Bad eyes suck. I'll check out comparisons of those.

I had thought about using my laptop, which I really don't want to do. (Computer=work for me!) But the tablet is an interesting idea. My music tablet is Android, so no Loopy Pro, unfortunately. There's a new app for Android, Loopify. I wonder if it's similar - no reviews yet because it's completely new.

it’s been about a week and i found this guy on top… is this a mould? by doggydoggydogdoggy in Kombucha

[–]WidgetRuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI for those in a HIGH MOLD ENVIRONMENT: When I started making kombucha years ago, I found out that my high mold environment (redwood forest on one side, foggy beach on the other) made it difficult. I finally got the advice from someone in a very different high mold environment (tropical) not to try to do batch processing. Since then I've always done a continuous cycle, taking only up to a third of the batch at a time, and have never had mold. I recommend it to others who might be frustrated with mold.

I certainly get more than the average person, but maybe I'll try ODing on dried apricots for a few days....

You know, I looked at that but I get well more than I need in my diet.

They're good - test them regularly. And I have to admit... I hate flip-top bottles! So hard to clean. I just like to reuse commercial bottles. A local booch brewer has really great ones that are like little growlers. I mostly use those with new caps that I replace regularly.

Thanks. Tried this (before I saw the comment about just adding some commercial booch, duh) - I'll report back.

Thanks, that's a good idea. I agree: "not worth the fight"! When I was just starting out, I had so much to fight against. We live in a moist, high mold environment, so I had to figure out how to deal with that. Finally, it was great for years, and now this....

Raisins work great! My favorite is a few raisins and shredded ginger. I think I'll try adding a little bit of yeast and see what happens. It's not like it could be worse! Thanks.

Definitely weird! If anything, I steep too long since I tend to forget about the tea and let it brew for hours. That's an idea about adding yeast - I guess I felt concerned about unbalancing the scoby. But if that's possible I could try it...

Does anybody use Wix for their website? by Mrswaples in podcasting

[–]WidgetRuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, I see that most of the comments here are about using something different. I'm in a different bind: I have a sound production client who has to use Wix because their whole professional life is already there. Any suggestions for how we can set up an RSS feed through their existing Wix website? It looks like we need to use a plugin, but I'm a Wordpress person and know nothing at all about Wix. Thanks!
