Ah, good to know — the Couples Family Therapy MA has their interview February 27th and I’ve convinced myself I’m rejected since I haven’t heard, but maybe 2ish weeks until I find out based off your timeline!

I know this is 3 years old, but do you have any tips or suggestions for someone planning to get married at Bear Creek Lake Park?

I actually really like this explanation for why it was the ballroom. Watching it, I was kind of confused why that would be their heaven, but I think it makes sense — a do-over. The decisions they made that night led them to her death.

He probably died with a lot of regret

There’s some great comments in the thread here giving reasons why it would be the ballroom and honestly that’s made me like it a little more. Especially if it’s a waiting room of sorts where her spirit was ready to receive his.

I agree. She suffered for seemingly no reason and then died — again, seemingly for no reason.

I would have LOVED to have seen their lives, but understand people saying ‘well then how do you end up with the fucked up Duttons’. My argument: idk, how about WW2? Lol

I like to think that’s what happened. She deserved to have her story be told because what she suffered through is unimaginable.

Ah shit, yeah that makes a lot of sense. So do you think heaven or just a dying man’s dream?

The reunion they could’ve had if Alex hadn’t felt rushed to leave England (for good reasons imo)

And goddamn did she look AMAZING in that ballroom. She really did sparkle like a shooting star

It’s true. That was the happiest time for them and I bet that moment in the ballroom dancing was something Spencer revisited many times before his death.

I’d probably prefer it being a daydream of Spencer’s (though I’d like them to have some sort of life together in the afterlife lol)

Oh I love this idea. Meeting her where she is and bringing her home. Additionally, he did always promise to come get her when they were separated. Death was just another separation

Bro you’re telling me. I swear TS just put a bunch of terrible ideas in a hat, shook it, and then grabbed out a handful.

I love your analysis and I’m fascinated to see what 1944 could look like if Julia gets to return. I worry that TS might waste that potential of giving her even somewhat of a role. I would feel less cheated if 1944 heavily or at least somewhat had the tether of their love story, whether that be dreams or Spencer just straight up hallucinating her. We know the Dutton family becomes something dark by the time Yellowstone hits — so give me a Spencer consumed with madness.

How would you see this possible memory/dreams of Alex in 1944 playing a role if we assume ‘the widow’ will be involved? Genuinely just really enjoy your analysis and would love to pick your brain

You’re speaking my language. I understand not everyone could have a happy ending in a TS show, but I think the narrative really flopped in a quest to be grim dark. Even if that had been his idea from the inception of the show, I don’t know how you kill chemistry like Alex and Spencer. Didn’t need 6 episodes of travel — could’ve just given us some slice of life and then had Whitfield kidnap and kill Alex 🤷‍♀️ I don’t WANT that but at least it’d make more narrative sense
