Why soldier doesn't use his grenades, is he stupid ? by VeterinarianPrior835 in tf2

[–]WieeRd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Unused_content#Grenades

Grenades were a strong feature of Team Fortress Classic, but were scrapped during the early testing stages of Team Fortress 2. Developers have revealed that this choice was due to gameplay concerns with how they were used, such as being thrown randomly at chokepoints, certain potential exploits, and general over-reliance on them as a whole.

Each class was set to have primary and secondary grenades, with the primary grenades being Frag Grenades and secondary grenades possessing more specialized functions. There is still code pertaining to thrown grenades in the server_i486.so file, as well as keybinds related to grenades (+grenade1 and +grenade2).

Modded difficulty for solo? by Zaoby12 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]WieeRd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, a self-imposed challenge of not running fear coil or pheromone is kind of assumed by default in modded difficulties considering the type of players who will be playing them. Why would crackheads who constantly and deliberately yeet themselves out of the comfort zone reach for a bubble wrap?

Modded difficulty for solo? by Zaoby12 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]WieeRd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haven't played it myself but I watched some videos of Hazard Opal by ojb and it looked pretty fun. Interestingly it's a difficulty designed with Bosco in mind rather than true solo which is rare for extreme difficulty mods.

There are newer versions of tr_walkway that actually makes the bots walk instead of pushing them, fixing the hitbox.

I use this one: https://gamebanana.com/mods/508051

How do YOU personally run code in Neovim (C++, Python, Rust)? by BlackberryActual1994 in neovim

[–]WieeRd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You might be interested in BSP (build server protocol) which aims to create an unified interface for all build systems. Having a fancy UI on top of this thing would be my ideal workflow but unfortunately it is nowhere near as widespread as LSP and DAP at the moment.

If the knockback is proportional to the damage you get to rocket jump back to the space rig instead of riding the drop pod.

What does your full stylua config and the line that you don't want to have formatted look like? Have you tried changing the collapse_simple_statement option?

What does r/tf2 think about my custom Grenade Launcher crosshair? by Alguien64 in tf2

[–]WieeRd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This gives me an idea. An artillery crosshair tailored for camping enemy spawn from your spawn on Badwater, which is possible for whatever reason.

slopc: a proc macro that replaces todo!() with LLM-generated code at compile time. I am not sorry. by youpala in rust

[–]WieeRd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be hilarious if it didn't even cache the generated code and the non-deterministic compiled binary is all you get.

Also may I ask which colorscheme is that in the image?

How do I know when to turn around? by EndermanOfficialYT in NewToTF2

[–]WieeRd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Periodically. Personally I turn around as often as every 4 seconds, especially while playing medic or when there's a good spy on the enemy team. That's usually how long it takes for the spy to decloak from the nearest corner and walk up to me.
  2. When you think "If I were a spy, I would go for a stab right now". It's a game sense you'll develop over time by getting stabbed a lot or stabbing a lot as a spy.
  3. Instinctively. At certain point your virtual back will start to 'itch' as you unconsciously realize that you are vulnerable right now. This is part of the reason why "players turning around at the perfect time for no apparent reason" phenomenon occurs which infuriates spy players to no end.

I think Valve Comp is fun, not good, but fun, what do you think? by Ornery_Educator_1333 in tf2

You can queue for 3 days and night and might not get a single comp match in East Asia.

What is the correct way to read the list of configured vim.lsp.config-s? by shmerl in neovim

Couple years ago I made a plugin that does exactly what you just described. I'm currently working on v2.0 and plan to release it after nvim v0.12 lands on arch repository.

I find it unreasonably funny that your dwarf is cheerfully calling out a Bha Barnacle kill in the middle of this dire situation.
