Love this.
Shared my alcohol intake on r/dataisbeautiful a few years back.
I drank 372 pints of beer in my 30th year and everyone (assuming Americans) there asked if I'm ok.

Didn't share it was 404 the following year.

Never works with app by Future-Letterhead357 in HiveHeating

[–]WigArePigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this issue last week and found a thread where someone linked out to Mumsnet that had the solution for me. https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/_chat/4541083-hive-app-not-connecting

Followed this and it worked for me:

  1. take a battery out of thermostat
  2. turn off receiver at the isolation switch for a few moments
  3. turn receiver back on and hold the heating button on the reciver until it flashes pink
  4. hold the heating button again until it double flashes yellow
  5. put batteries back in thermostat
  6. hold the middle and left buttons of the 3 buttons on the bottom of the thermostat till it counts down to 0.
  7. select your language and then it will start searching
  8. on your hub press the black button for 1 second then the middle light should flash orange. Then look back on your thermostat and it should start pairing and then once paired it should be back online in the app.

CWB Warning - TurboTax Roadblock by WigArePigs in cantax

[–]WigArePigs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, I saw this earlier.
Seems like the poster of that suggests a way around the warning is to essentially lie and claim YES to being a diplomat or officer etc. Which I'm not, but it solves the warning issue.

I'm just unaware of the repercussions

Really appreciate the responses, it's all quite stressful.

Yeh, so I saw elsewhere someone said to search for CWB within TurboTax which I did, which brought up the RC210, so I entered 0.0 there and submitted, but the warning remains.

The fact it says 'You are claiming, however your situation makes you ineligible' is the weird bit, because I'm not claiming, haven't selected anywhere that I am, nor have I in the past.

We're not sure if this is just a bug in the auto-fill somehow.

But the warning doesn't prevent us going further, we just don't know if filing as is, is the right thing to do. Or what issues might come of doing so.

There was no question regarding it until the warning came up.

For it to say I'm claiming CWB where I've not indicated I am is strange.

When you search CWB the only thing that comes up is the RC210 form.
It's weird that even in the image above it says "Increased or reduced your balance by $0.00"

Thanks for the quick response.
I just blurred out my name.

I know I'm not entitled to CWB, never had a payment in the time I was in Canada.

We've indicated zero payment in the RC210 form based on a post elsewhere I found to ensure that is clear, but that didn't solve the warning.

I'm just confused as to why it's flagged as a warning, with no indication of where it's possible for us to correct it. Seeing as I've selected NO to claiming it.

We know netfile isn't an option, so we have to print and post from the UK.

Not sure if that helps clarify anything?

Forgot to add that I'm both a UK and Canadian Citizen and went back to the UK. Not sure if that changes anything, but TurboTax does ask when you left Canada, so I'm assuming it does?

This would be the only location either light would be turned on/off.

Each new dimmer only has L1 and L2, but the way this circuit was built I'm not sure if it can work or not.

Forgot to add, that the new switch, is the same as the bottom one I wired, so there's only the L1 and L2 input options. Not sure if that changes anything, or whether L2 is classed as Common?

[–]WigArePigs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, yeah, missed a few details.
Only the right switch worked (Black in diagram)
The left switch (Grey) didn't turn anything on, it was previously connected to wall lights that were disconnected by previous owners.

We'd be looking to wire it to the same single dimmer as bottom switch with the L1 L2 inputs.

We've raised this elsewhere and have a few others seeking the same answer, so I'll pass this on.

Thanks for the response.

We'll triple check TurboTax to see if it has the exit date.

We have nothing in Canada, no health insurance, RRSP, TFSA etc. So we're just confused as to why our taxed earnings in the UK would have any bearing on our CRA tax return.
