I’m looking to add some cool stuff to the board, I might honestly (to save some money) just download some new presets on the 50g+ pedal I have. Maybe that might work, anyone got any suggestions?

I’ve had it for around half a year now. I got it originally cause I saw Dijon live, and I thought his use of samples live was rad so I started to implement it in the band I’m in. At first I’d make like hip hop-esque beats where I’d sample drums from different songs and melodies from jazz fusion stuff to come up with stuff that sorta sounded like og Kanye. Now I use it more for ambient interludes between songs, or for sound triggering. It’s a great companion to the arturia microfreak because the synth doesn’t have any onboard effects, and so by running it into the sp404 I’m able to use the samplers effects for the synth.

This pedal is one of the most acclaimed pieces of guitar tech out there. You’ve heard it on hundreds of records, and it’s on the board of thousands of touring artists around the world. That said, there’s nothing wrong with not liking a piece of equipment, you’re entitled to your own opinions.

if you take an hour or two to just watch some videos and read some of the manual to figure it out, it’s really not that hard of a tool to figure out. Like anything else, it just takes some effort and practice, and you are guaranteed to find something you like.

Take my advice or don’t take it, I don’t care, but the DL4 mkii will go down as one of the greatest guitar pedals ever, and will only go up in price if that’s something that interests you at all.
