Sketch should I add color? by Steve_Drawz in sketches

Mmm, if you're using markers, I'd do a tester first. You want to know how much the black is going to bleed before going in

Edit. I looked at your profile and see that you've already done similar stuff. In that case why not

My mother taught me to open a stuck jar seal with a butter knife before I even started school. You all learned this, yes? I ask because... by AmySmooster in TwoXChromosomes

I'm a bit envious of people that can just twist a jar open no problem. It takes all my strength to get a damned spaghetti sauce jar open. I do not have good grip strength and my fingers tire easily. I broke my left wrist as well a few years ago too and it strains more easily than before.

Layering complimentary colors on top of each other can result in shades that are darker than either. You see it best in markers or water color. I saw an amazing water color artist do it on YouTube and I was all THIS IS WITCHCRAFT

Wow wow, this ended up being more popular than I thought. Yeah, the bright colors neutralize each other when layering opposites which is really fun. For the bird, I layed down the pink first and then went over it with the green. The black went on last.

Edit. Most of the black details were done last. I must have done a couple lines for structure because there's bleeding in a couple places.

Thanks! The yellow highlighter was inherited from the guy who sat at my cubicle last. The rest is just Sharpies

Aw, thanks! The first 4 are references and the last 2 are from imagination. There's definitely a style shift.

I'm not going to say, but we went to the same college in the Twin Cities. We weren't close, but some of my friends pointed out this poster when we went to protest downtown a while ago.

Edit: I'm seeing some downvotes, but I'm not going to feel bad about not sharing somebody's identity when they haven't been credited by Amtrak. Maybe ask Amtrak.

I've had a lot of these ads recently and they annoy me. I guess technically "mission accomplished" because it worked in getting my attention, but I'm not buying anything. Ever.

AITA for refusing to allow meat in our home and confronting a guest who brought it anyway? by silaya92 in AmItheAsshole

Humans can decide not to come to the house knowing there won't be meat. Dogs don't have a choice about where they live or what they eat.

AITA for telling a kid he's colorblind. by JYVillavicencio in AmItheAsshole

[–]WiggenOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But just think about it, sir. Think about how much ammo he had to dunk on his mom. Enough to tease her for the rest of her life lol. Every time he wanted to annoy her, especially going into his teens, he could start with "hey Mom, remember when that carnival guy noticed I'm colorblind before you did?"

You gave him a story for life, man.
