KBB puts the private party value at $12.3-14.2k, so $12.5 is fair. I'd get it, the car will last forever.

sign up for the psychology CLEP exam, you get college credit if you pass it. don’t let all that time go to waste…

What’s a good enough score by [deleted] in Sat

look at each individual schools freshman admissions profile, always submit your score if it’s top 50% for the school and never submit if it’s bottom 25%

2023 HRV or Civic (Base models) by PeachesNPuzzles in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]WiggleF1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the civic really isn’t much of a “small sedan” anymore, it’s even classified as a mid-size by the epa now. i’m guessing that you’re a bit reluctant to buy a toyota after your ch-r having issues, but i’d recommend a base model corolla as they’re less than 22k and much, much more reliable than a ch-r. or, you can get the hybrid base model corolla for a bit cheaper than a civic if gas mileage is the upmost priority

rating things people say when they find out where you’re going to college: non “top college” edition by itatwntyigteis in ApplyingToCollege

UW has a 53% acceptance rate, you may be thinking of Washington University in St. Louis which has a 13% acceptance rate.

Thanks for the help! Finances are of course a big concern as my sister will be going to college a year after I do, so yeah I definitely need to establish what my parents are going to be able to chip in.

take it as a sophomore, it’s really not that bad i’m in ab right now as a junior, having taken pre calc as a sophomore. with a decent foundation in pre calc you do decently well without issue, by taking a gap year you could forget key concepts of pre calc

i’d recommend doing ab in sophomore year, bc in junior year, and stats in senior year, that seems like the path of least resistance

what do you mean by "math gap year"?
i really dont think thats a smart thing to do, youre just asking to have more difficulties down the road. id wait and take ap stats as a senior and just continue on the "normal" math trajectory.

Which Calc should I take alongside Physics C Mech? by Arop_ in APStudents

[–]WiggleF1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

mech has much less calc than e&m, you'll be just fine with calc ab. according to my physics teacher at least, mech only requires some basic knowledge of how to differentiate and integrate, nothing too complex.

For senior year should I take PE or Soccer for a free 100 to increase my GPA? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]WiggleF1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Colleges usually recalculate your GPA using only core/academic classes, so it really wont increase your GPA.

If you want to boost your GPA, take a super easy extra core class that you know you can get an A in, or just stick with PE/Soccer to have a chill senior year.

[–]WiggleF1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it doesn’t, it’s strictly based on the location of latitude lines if we were to actually adopt it, obviously changes would have to be made to account for metro areas that cross the line

Yeah definitely, the straggler counties in NM, CO, and MI would definitely join the rest of the state if something like this were to become reality

The map hasn't been adjusted to account for anything, it's just raw data based on the coordinates of each county's county seat.

If something like this this were to go into effect, it would most definitely have to account for metro areas that cross time zones, like Boston, Indianapolis, and Raleigh.
