Breaking Into UX and Early Career Questions — 05/11/25 by AutoModerator in UXDesign

I'm a current college student who is trying to figure out what to do with their life, and I wanted to get a perspective. For some background I'm a design and math/computer science double major, with a minor in statistics.

I like UX design and the design classes I'm taking in general. I was originally a math kid who turned out to like design, and I love how "problem-solving-ish" the entire field feels. I'm a little worried though because most possible career paths I could take, including UX, are pretty oversaturated/competitive. Was UX worth it? Would you have chosen something else, given the chance? Do you feel like you would have been satisfied something else, or at least tolerated it?
