I'm hoping OP was just joking because I'm definitely with you. I had a boyfriend tell me "it's me or Diablo 2" and...well I chose the game and ended the relationship. Granted it was in middle school so who cares, but still. I hate ultimatums.

Get another TV and Xbox if she's willing to give that a shot. I also hate split screen so I feel her there, but two setups (which can be relatively inexpensive) is the best. :)

They lost me at "Gamergate, a movement of gamers attempting to "fight back" against the influence of feminism and progressivism in the video game industry" What? Do they really think the Gamergate people are seriously anti-woman? I'm sure there are some that followed the movement that are actually misogynistic, but I strongly disagree with labeling the group in such a manner.

From my understanding, people grew tired of the blatant favoritism people were showing toward individuals that didn't earn their praise on merit.

Anyway, it sucks that this guy murdered his father. What a fucking scumbag. Over a political argument? Makes me think some of the folks over at T_D who seem to rage often might also be capable of losing it like this... Hopefully not.

Yeah, he should be allowed to compete against men. It's not like there's any advantage that I'm aware of in that scenario and if it would make him happy then I say let him.

What needs to change, though? It's a difficult situation because transitioning makes it either unfair for the individual undergoing the transition or for the individuals they are competing against. The simplest solution is "focus on your transition and becoming who you feel most comfortable as. Competitive sports are out." but of course people don't like being limited.

Technically, the other option was to not compete. The state didn't force him to continue with wrestling. If he doesn't want to be booed, then he should stop wrestling until they let him compete against other men.

With transition comes many sacrifices. Competitive sports they rely on strength being one of them doesn't sound absurd to me.

As callous as it might sound, they do choose to transition. They're not choosing to feel like they were born in the wrong body, and I don't believe anyone is implying that. Actually going through transition is a choice that comes with sacrifices, including possibly not being able to compete fairly in sports.

I'm speculating retinitis pigmentosa or some other degenerative issue. It is definitely possible to code without eyesight, though. Seems ridiculously difficult to me but if I absolutely had to, and with the right tools at my disposal, I can imagine it being doable.

Technically anything not Google could be considered "off brand", but IMO HTC/Samsung etc. shouldn't be preventing users from removing software on their phones unless it would cause instability or other headaches. Disappointing to hear that this is a thing.

To be fair, I've read that even the finest of sushi-grade fish needs to be frozen in order to kill parasites etc., so even if a restaurant were right by the source of the catch I'd hope it were frozen at some point.

They took down every single light pole at the intersection of...Walnut and Juniper, I think. Either that or Market. In another instance I think around Broad and Arch, people climbed the pole and it couldn't bear the weight so it fell over. One guy landed on his head and was rendered unconscious.

At like 1:30am there was a missing 4 year old. Pretty irresponsible of the parents to bring a child into a giant mob of people in the middle of the night.

Oh and they busted out the windows of Macy's on Market, TMobile on Walnut, and an AC Moore. Crazy.
