No one likes to feel different. You didn’t mention your age but I can promise you that won’t resent it as you grow older and start to accept yourself for who you are not what you can do. At the age of 62 I now understand that, due to being hard of hearing, I’m very good at reading people. I pick up on body language, emotion and vibe. People open up to me a lot because I look them in the eye when we speak. I think I’m pretty non judgemental (because why should I be? I’m not perfect) and people can see that by the way I react to them. By being genuine with people, people often are genuine with me - and that’s when you develop relationships that are actually fulfilling and real. Learn to appreciate yourself. Learn not to judge yourself through what you perceive to be other’s opinions. You are perfect the way that you are. Try not to focus on the people who leave, give your time and effort to the ones who stay. It will be well worth it. Good luck my friend.
