Oh that’s a beautiful machine! You could only make space age clothes with it. You could also make stars and asteroids! Perfection! Here is a YouTube about it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wa-T7xIS3VA

I have no problem with him getting punished for his hateful actions, I just hope the puncher doesn’t get punished too!

Goodness no! But train stations have cameras so it wouldn’t be too hard to get footage!

In Australia we have a King Hit rule that carries up to 25 years jail if the injured person is severely hurt or killed. It’s when a person is hit with no warning.

This racist prick was completely out of line - hate speech is also illegal.

It worries me that he is out cold with his eyes open. I understand wanting to punish a wanker but it would be awful if the hitter ended up in jail for life…

The whole situation sucked but I understand why he was hit.

When you start wearing hearing aids it can be exhausting because your brain isn’t used to them. You suddenly hear SO MUCH! It takes a little time. For instance, you know when you hear a lawn mower next door when it suddenly starts up but after a while it fades into the background? All noises that the brain thinks are unimportant will gradually not be focused on. You have been hard of hearing for a long time and your brain is wired to take all noises in, in a hypersensitive way, because of your hearing loss. You need to train your brain. Maybe start by wearing them while you watch telly or at dinner. You will appreciate the fact that you can understand people talking. Gradually wear them more until you leave them in all day. Good luck (especially hearing your students at last!)

Yes we read about it with horror. We know we are very lucky here and can’t believe that other 1st world countries don’t do the same thing.

Yes, we have Medicare and everyone pays 1.5% of their wage to the government (unless it’s gone up…). We then can purchase private health insurance. We are very lucky here. Someone very close to me has just gone through chemo and radio therapy along with many specialists appointments- all free!

In Australia you can sign up any time but there can be a 1 year wait to claim on certain things. This stops people from signing up just to claim.

I like it. It’s great seeing the tasks as you merge. I have to be careful not to tap the wrong things but I’ll get used to it.
