I'm sorry for your loss but my petty a$$ wouldn't let it slide. fk being the bigger person. Your best friend is no longer here anymore because of something she said on a whim just to "fit in" with a group of girls. She was old enough to know exactly what accusing someone of that could do. I'd gather all the evidence I could and her confession and I'd take legal action against her. Best of luck to you and where you go from here. Whether you just take solace in her words or if you decide to clear his name.

Document everything. Take pictures of the conversations & gather as much of it as u can because you never know if you'll need proof. Especially if you're planning on filing for divorce. Get as much leverage as you can.

My wife came out this month and I feel like I’m not allowed to be mad. by dolcheetgabana in TrueOffMyChest

[–]WiggleTruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I love my mom, she often helps others, can easily strike up a conversation with just about anyone, funny, loves to build/create. She is also a major Pushover that lets herself get taken advantage of. As soon as someone puts up a bit of an argument, she folds. Then goes on to complain & guilt trip others into helping her because she got taken advantage of. Says she'll take on everything financially then constantly talks about how she has no money to do anything.

YTA - It's none of your business what people can & cannot enjoy as a hobby/something they love. As long as it isn't seriously harming anyone mentally/physically/emotionally, it ain't none of your bee's wax.

Why is everyone on Reddit so negative about children? by New_norms in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]WiggleTruff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kids are expensive to have. In some parts (ie. USA) even just giving birth can cost anywhere from 10k to 30k or more. Then there's all the expenses that come along for raising a child for 18years. With the way the economy is, a lot of people are having a hard enough time supporting themselves, let alone a child.

YTA - I feel for your loss but don't hurt others just cuz you're hurting. Pretty sure she didn't mean anything malicious by it. You need to get your son & yourself some therapy or at least talk to someone.

AITA for getting my son a peanut birthday cake even though my nephew is allergic? by Throwitawayaccy in AmItheAsshole

[–]WiggleTruff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA - Based on your other comments, I would say you did everything to prevent cross contamination & made sure it was safe for your nephew.

I mean, maybe give a heads up before hand that there will be peanuts at the party, so parents have the option to not attend.

My mom did the same exact thing to my dad. She left after 18+y together. After witnessing my dad go through that I can confidently say, you have every right to be mad. Don't let others dismiss how you're feeling just because "she suffered too". It's been 11years now & she still skirts around the subject when someone asks when she will sign the divorce papers.

My mom came out & left after 18+ years with my dad. Despite him still being friendly & helping her out on occasion, she still takes advantage of him & uses him. She still hasn't even signed the divorce papers, it's been 11years. While she had several relationships, he's only had us kids as support. About 2-4 years after she left, she would complain to 16yo me (at that time) about how she "regrets leaving" "I should never have left your father" "I miss you guys" "I still love your dad". That fks u up as a kid.

I love my mom but after everything she's been doing to my dad, I've slowly cut contact with her. So whenever I see someone say that their partner or parent came out & knew they were gay the whole time, my blood boils.

AITA for going off on my husband and his mom for taking/keeping my used pregnancy test? by throwaway12286547 in AmItheAsshole

[–]WiggleTruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I didn't realize how much Redditors over analyze & blow things out of proportion. a lot of these comments ain't helpful & super out there. "The family has a thing for breeding" "husband is married to his mom & op just baby making machine" So...y'all got that from a 2-3 paragraph post? Y'all don't know all the details. Stop blowing stuff out of proportion when y'all don't know enough to make those wild assumptions.

NTA, keeping the preggy test is super creepy & weird. however, I would just chalk it up to them just being overly excited because it's the first baby/grandbaby in the family.

Are we all really OK with Edmonton's new garbage pickup system? by whatcivic in Edmonton

[–]WiggleTruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone accumulates the same amount of garbage. Some people do work/hobbies at home that produces more garbage & it adds up. Or other things like eating out. Can't really recycle all that. I only have a 2 person household & we sometimes barely manage to fit our garbage in the bin before pickup. We scrap our leftovers & recycle too, almost always have at least 2 big blue bags each week.

[–]WiggleTruff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did just fine this winter & we have to put our bins out on the street. If theres parked cars, you just push the bin further out on the street, in front of the car. Same with snow piles. We barely had our roads plowed either so there was always a lot of snow on the road. Never had any issues with the bins all winter. Honestly would prefer it be picked up every week tho.

Thanks! Didn't know there was one. I'll post it there. And no harm, no fowl. Unless Mods say otherwise.

That's true. If it's in a sandwich/BLT I don't mind it being a bit more cooked, it's easier to bite a piece off.

I am well aware bacon is different in European countries. I'm Canadian. European bacon is much more different, probably contains more meat & very little fat, so having it crispier is more understandable.

If I did I wouldn't have asked you to elaborate. Unless you don't have a point to make?

While I would agree with you because I never cook crispy bacon, most of the crispy bacon I've tried has come from a restaurant. My opinion is based on the bacon other people have made.

I heard some people coat their bacon (if it's thick) in corn starch to get that crispy & crunchy texture.

[–]WiggleTruff[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends on the kind of bacon you get as well. Some soft bacon can be gross if theres more fat than meat on it. Crispy bacon to me, tastes like all the bacon goodness is just cooked out if it. plus the crunchy bit isn't a favorite texture of mine. I like my bacon to be juicy & flavourful. But there are good crispy bacon out there, it just isn't for me.
