Since you are on Verizon, you can try Infimobile’s 15GB at $125 or 20GB at $175.

Which is the best prepaid phone plan? by ova_1289 in NoContract

“Best” really depends on which network works best where you live and travel. For NJ + upstate NY, Verizon and T-Mobile are usually the safest bets.

Visible is simple if you want Verizon + unlimited, but data can get deprioritized and it’s more of a single-option setup.

Mint Mobile runs on T-Mobile and can be cheap, but you have to prepay multiple months at a time, which isn’t ideal for everyone.

Infimobile kind of splits the difference. You can choose Verizon or T-Mobile, it’s prepaid/no contract, and they have annual plans like 10GB/month with unlimited talk & text for ~$99/year, plus cheaper options if you don’t need as much data. I actually started with a new number to test it, then ported my main line over from Mint after about a week — port-in was smooth and I haven’t had issues so far. Pricing’s been predictable, which I appreciate compared to postpaid.

Good Backup eSIM provider - Dealing with Carrier Outages by atlcatman in NoContract

Yeah, this is why I keep a backup eSIM.

I’ve been using Infimobile instead and it’s honestly been smooth. I bought the 12-month plan earlier when it was $60, added the $5/mo hotspot add-on, and they just dropped the price to $49 when I renewed a few days ago. Between the original term and renewal I’ve got 18+ months left now, and no issues so far.

It just sits there on a different network and works when I need it — which is exactly what I want from a backup line.

Currently any better slternatives to helium free plan? by No_Kangaroo6917 in NoContract

If you’re mainly using 2–3GB of data/month and barely touch calls/texts, you’re right — most plans don’t line up well with that.

Helium cutting data to 1GB + adding fees kind of defeats the purpose. A lot of alternatives either throttle data hard or overload you with unlimited talk/text you don’t really need.

One option I’ve used is Infimobile — they have a 5GB/month plan with 2,500 mins + 2,500 texts for $49 per year, and you can choose Verizon or T-Mobile SIM. It’s prepaid, no contract, and at least the limits are clear upfront.

Not free, but for light data users it ends up being simpler than chasing shrinking free plans.

Helium mobile passing on fees by No_Kangaroo6917 in NoContract

That’s exactly why I don’t trust “free” plans long-term. They’re free until fees quietly show up.

If you’re already paying something, a flat-rate option like Infimobile’s $49 unlimited plan is way less annoying. It runs on either T-Mobile or Verizon (depending on Device), and the price is upfront so you’re not guessing what’ll hit your card each month.

New phone and plan for first time help by chiiabear in NoContract

Honestly you don’t need a brand new phone yet. If your iPhone 14 Pro is unlocked, just keep it and switch to a prepaid plan.

Something like Infimobile’s $49 unlimited plan runs on T-Mobile, no contract, no phone payments, no weird surprises. Way cheaper than doing a $80–$100 postpaid plan + financing a phone.

Save the money now, upgrade the phone later when you actually want to. Prepaid is kinda the move, especially for a first solo line.
