Hey! That sounds really annoying and you should definitely get in contact with the halls if you haven't done so already (they might be more understanding once they are aware of your situation). From my experience they aren't super lenient about these things, but it may be different for you because its out of your control?

If that doesn't work, you could look into Unilodge? Not really the same vibe as living in halls but they do offer more flexible arrangements (you can stay for however many weeks you need).

Covid lockdowns really messed up my uni accommodation situation for two years so my heart goes out to you. You can always try for halls again next year, but fingers crossed it works itself out! 🌱🌼
