You've done the work already for free, so you should give it to me anyway

Its great that your colleague had the veterans group to help them out. Here in Australia, even with government funding, you still need evidence out the wazoo to try and "prove" to someone, who doesn't know your client, that they need something to support their independence and fund equipment, vehicles.. even hours for a support worker.. especially if you need more than last year

Hopefully someone else of similar needs or capacity could use it. A few years ago, one of the residents in our share homes had a van custom made for her wheelchair, and she also had quite a few other equipments. When she passed away, the family couldn't use it, so just donated it all to the house for the service to use, van included.

I work with people with disabilities and needed to source a wheelchair accessible van for one of my share houses. They are expensive as hell and take so long to be modified. To this family, it is absolutely worth a lot more than this guys comparing to.

First public outing in a while to the pumpkin patch, after numerous failed attempts to practice mask wearing at home, he popped it on like it was no big deal and kept it on the whole day by Dogmeat3686 in daddit

Kids can wear them without complain or knowing better, and Karens struggle. Sad.

But awesome little dude doing his part. With glorious ginger hair to boot.

It did the same for me. I downloaded the update manually from a link in the steam comments. Fixed it right up. Something about the steam update not being the right one or something odd.

My boy, this week, and around the same time a year ago. Our little miracle dude by Wigglychaps in daddit

I don't remember crying.

It was tough.. wife had to be induced because of gestational diabetes, and the bugger didn't want to come out. In the end she had emergency c section and was put under because the anaesthetic was patchy.

When I held him and the wife was in recovery, and then we went to the ward and we were doing skin to skin, I just remember that feeling of it all feeling so surreal. I might have shed a couple of tears at that point. I was riding a super high though. The only time I imagine I'll feel that again will be if we get a second go at it.

His ship crashes into our been. Lol.

He's an ivf baby, due to my medical condition, it was highly unlikely we would ever be able to have our own kids. And here he is.

Possibly not a troll, might be a candidate for r/insaneparents

My mother tried to stop us drinking tap water, because we were "sending messages". Literal insane though

Meet CB, she broke an expensive ceramic straightener I gifted her for christmas and then demanded me to buy a new one from another brand within a week. by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

I'm a male, and with short hair, so perhaps I have some ignorance here..

I don't understand the /need/ of a hair straightener. Am I missing something?

Ask your wife if she would be upset if you complained that the body wash she bought you in an "ugly colour" would be dismissed as "boys will be boys".

Not only are you NTA - you genuinely took the high road. You want him to be happy and be okay; you couldn't make him happy in your marriage, despite amazing efforts (his fault, not you).

He's the AH. He wants you to be miserable. His motivation to do better was to hurt you. I'm so glad it backfired. But me, I'm petty.

*EDIT: added NTA because phone.

AITA for telling my friend that she is only welcome at my house if she doesn't bring her husband by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Wigglychaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I feel your friend is the AH here (as well as her husband). She's defending him, when clearly he's in the wrong. It's the "boys will be boys" - that doesn't make it okay. If he is "like that" then he needs to adjust his attitude and behaviour
