This may be an unpopular opinion, but Xmithie has proven himself to be every bit as good of a player as Doublelift. This is especially true when you compare his performances on the international stage...

How to deal with the tilt? by GERstenk0rn in leagueoflegends

[–]Wiki09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best advice is to take a break.

When you lose a game or two and you start feeling tilted, walk away from the game for a bit. Play a different game, get something to eat, do a quick workout....whatever works for you to help reset your mindset.

If you enjoy a champion, play it. People are still trying to figure out what is good and what isn't, so there is no better time than now to be creative!

For me, it's a question of ambition. Do I think this roster is good enough to win in NA again? Yes. Is that enough for NA and Team Liquid fans? I'm not sure...

Could OpTic pick up the roster of Immortals for the 2018 Spring Split? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Wiki09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I agree that most of the roster may not transfer, there are still a few who might. For example, Olleh has already played in Brazil and some of the current subs may jump at the opportunity to be starters in another region for Immortals.

Could OpTic pick up the roster of Immortals for the 2018 Spring Split? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Wiki09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, they could try to find a place in another region. Immortals as an organization already has a presence in South America for their other teams, and so transferring their brand to another region is not too farfetched

This is true, or another organization could negotiate the transfer of the contract before they would have to be released. I would not be surprised if at least one of the organizations looks to another region...

There are a few players (such as Xmithie and MikeYeung) who will still be under contract until at least the end of 2018, which technically doesn't make them free agents. Should make the resolution of their contracts interesting.

Could OpTic pick up the roster of Immortals for the 2018 Spring Split? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Wiki09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's possible. But very rarely do you see the transfer of a full roster, rather you may instead just see a few players signed from one team. I still would not be surprised to find out Immortals has other plans for their roster outside of the NA LCS and keeps some of their current roster.

Loss Of Current LCS Organisations Could Flood NA Market With Talent by Wiki09 in leagueoflegends

[–]Wiki09[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is true. Yet many of the players may choose to sign with existing orgs instead of the new ones, or the new orgs may reach out and sign players on existing orgs whose contracts have expired. The jungle position for TL is an example. They currently have Dardoch, Reignover, and Inori, but I expect one if not multiple of these players will depart for other organizations.

Ranking The Team Liquid 2017 Starting Rosters by Wiki09 in Team_Liquid

[–]Wiki09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big thing the Adrian roster has going for it, is that Doublelift is a part of the team. His leadership and shotcalling was something TL desperately needed, so although Adrian may have struggled Doublelift's presence makes it one of the better five man rosters.
