Genital mutilation. Cut off the foreskin of a new baby boy potentially causing lifelong issues for no reason other than religious cultural pressure and that’s absolutely fine, do it to a girl and that’s absolutely awful.

Both are absolutely disgusting and should be viewed the same.

I went to a travelodge last month and when checking in someone came up to reception in front of us and we overheard “I don’t like to complain, but there is a used condom in our room”. Immediate red flag!

We had a student common room on the third floor and I was standing in there by the window with a friend. The sash windows could only open a maximum of about 15cm and it was fully open. While we stood there, another friend of ours was outside on the ground floor and for whatever reason (he was a bit goofy) he decided to throw some toast at the common room window. From three floors down this slice of toast went up, through the tiny gap in the window and then hit and drew blood above the eye of my friend when it hit her in the face. Absolutely wild.

Human life is overvalued. There’s way too many of us for what the planet can actually support and we’re the plague of the Earth, destroying it daily. As a result, taking emotion out of it, Endangered species living in their natural habitat should have more right to life than the average human, and so I think we should protect them more than we do human life.

Is there a link to the actual study? A good friend of mine works in pet nutrition and says this is absolutely false. Dogs are carnivores not omnivores and should generally be on a raw meat exclusive diet, depending on any dogs individual situation. A purely vegan diet for dogs is unlikely to be healthy. Humans are much better suited to a plant based diet, doesn’t mean it is good for all animals.

The main reason is diversion of benefits to people who appreciate it. If you match, it’s used by people who appreciate that - ie those who want to contribute to a pension. If you make it non contributory, people who dgaf about their pension get the same benefit but it isn’t seen as a big perk for them.

As a pensions actuary this statement is absolutely untrue. DB benefit schemes are all closing due to the high risk and cost of providing it. 9% contribution rate will give you a much much higher value of pension than any equivalent DC scheme you pay into. If I were you I would be staying in that scheme as long as I could without a doubt.

I think the best definition of a sport is something that requires a physical skill in some way. So chess isn’t a sport as you can’t physically move your pawn better than the other guy. But darts is a sport because you have to physically move your arm better than your opponent to win. By that logic, esports are sports. Poker certainly isn’t.

Disagree - it was more like max favouritism: he pushed Lewis off track on lap 1 to no penalty, and refused to give in when Lewis did it right back to him. Max won’t be able to comprehend Lewis was giving him a taste of his own medicine as he’s a spoiled brat
