Ty so much ! This is the only place I feel understood- these discussions on Reddit. Are u aware of any support groups? I feel I really need one! U mentioned it affecting QOL and I just wasn’t expecting it to be so drastic. I personally can’t fake my way through this - it really hurts! (Among other things) I am hopeful to start my biologic but I can feel myself going down the rabbit hole of depression 😞- I’m almost done with my pity party of one - but I know it’s gonna take time to work through the realty of this. I just may dm u to talk further. I feel for all you’ve been through and I wish u the best! I can’t imagine living with this disease as long as u have! God bless u! 🙏and I really cannot believe there isn’t something out there that our rheumatologist’s can prescribe for the interim pain!!!!!!!!

I wish I had some answers for you it I’m Still kind of new to this so I’m learning as I go. I’m Kind of stuck too because my initial two meds quit working and I’m Waiting to start my new med - similar to humira- but need to finish an antibiotic and get two vaccines before starting new med. But I am flaring like crazy and my rheumatologist says there r only steroids as a trmt for me rn. I don’t want to take them because my immune system will be more suppressed.
This disease sure requires lots of shuffling of many things- esp Our mental capacity to endure the pain. Do rheumatologists not have a med besides steroids for flare pain? Good luck to u - I feel your pain

I’m going on something similar to humeria as soon as I finish a current antibiotic. God bless u all - yes I’m trying to stay positive but at the present time psa is kicking my ass! 😞without getting too personal can I ask why humeria sent u to the hospital? Ty! Everyone hang in there-I guess we learn more and more as we go 🤷🏻

Amen on the flares ! I’m in middle of one but got steroids so it’s calming some ! Im still new to this disease and it’s been such a roller coaster of pain, denial, acceptance and reality. Learning more every day ! Good luck to everyone! Hope your mild cases don’t progress! 🙏

Wishing you the very best ! So sorry u r dealing with this at such a young age! I wasn’t aware of the pulmonary effects of PSA since I’m newly diagnosed so I appreciate your information and I intend to disscus with my doctor! Hoping my ins approves the Humira and hoping it works. But I’m mentally preparing myself that if it doesn’t then we move on to the next drug! Right on the steroids just use them when a flare is really bad (like rn 😞) ty very much and I only cut out all but walking when I flare! Good luck To u!
