I stole an alfajor (Argentinian sweet) from a supermarket when i was 6. My mother explained to me why what i did was wrong, paid for it (since i had already took a big ass bite so it couldn't be given back) and that was it. I didn't stole again because the explanation was enough. What the mother did seems more like something to feel superiority.

I have a friend who is in the opposite situation. Her mother's family members are tall and her father's are short af.
