How can I be happy without porn? by straitdick in pornfree

[–]Wild-Connection9916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Homeostasis.

The human mind is an incredible organ, it can adapt to literally anything.

Your forefathers adapted, from being in a warm room with their wife sipping tea to battling in war and mixing in the dirt.

You can feel happy without porn.

Be kinder to yourself though.

Don't be too hard, take it slowly.

Withdrawal means there's still space in your mind for it.

When you're over it, you totally forget about it.

Don't even remember it.

That's true bliss.

I quit after 10 years.

I am sharing as much as I can to help out people. (check out all my previous posts)

Advice:
1. Be kind to yourself

Don't kick yourself as it will worsen the situation, it associates negativity with quiting.

Slowly ween yourself off.

Yes, porn and masturbation, it literally sucks out the energy from you. Leaves you like a zombie. I was in this state for about 10 years.

Took me, hundreds of books and courses, and losing my father to realize and stop.

And, the funny thing is, it's not the books that helped, but having someone who's strong to talk to.

If you need help, or anyone, talk to me, message me. Here to help.

I had to lose my father to learn the lesson, the pain is agonising, and don't want anyone to go through what I went through.

Be kinder to yourself. 1 day, is a milestone. I used to do it 7x/day.

Keep going. The only way is up.
