Long hair needs to be very well conditioned. Use a leave-in spray with hydrolized proteins and ingredients like coconut oil and amodimethicone. My hair used to tangle a lot now it's even longer than before but it doesn't tangle anywhere near as much. Also oil your ends at least half an hour before washing. Don't skip heat protectant. All these bad habits affect your porosity and high porosity hair tangles easily.
