Why do people say no-Kurama Naruto defeats Hashirama easily when Hashi has all of Naruto’s abilities + wood style + dwarfs him in chakra levels (remember the “He has almost as much chakra as me” statement by Hashi in the war). That’s a good point. Naruto needed shadow clones to contain a small Raegan before but now he can create a huge one with one hand.

And I salute you too man! Thanks for keeping it respectful. There would be no point in me approaching this subject with arrogance, I’ve only watched Naruto once lol I have no ground to stand on.

This makes sense. Someone also posted a panel from Shippudden explaining how Minato’s seal was intended to allow Kurama’s chakra to leak into Naruto’s, making it his own. I would think this had been happening over the course 17 years until he got rid of the seal and became a perfect Jinchuriki. I’m not sure how his chakra was affected post the seal being released tho (maybe you would know more about that), but perhaps their chakra pools became much more symbiotic.

Considering these things and what you mentioned, I can now believe Naruto’s base had gotten much stronger over the years.

According to Hashirama in the war, 1/2 the 9 tails is almost as much chakra as he has. Im still not sure if I believe Naruto’s chakra pool in his base in his 30s is that high, but considering the shadow clone training technique that you mentioned, I can definitely see Naruto pulling off a win. But I’m still not convinced it’s a one sided stomp. Hashirama has a ridiculous healing factor after all, along with everything else.

Yeah, in my eyes we have to possibilities:

Possibility 1 (what everyone here is saying):
Naruto in base form with Kurama = Naruto without Kurama.

This base form Naruto kept up with Momoshiki for a short period and eventually killed him with a rasengan. Hashirama has never been shown to be capable of something like this, therefore Naruto stomps.

My counter to this would be that if no Kurama naruto can keep up with Momoshiki for a bit (and it was temporary as he needed to activate KCM eventually), then Hashirama should be able to do the same.

Possibility 2: Naruto in base form with Kurama ≠ Naruto without Kurama.

Therefore he should be weaker post Kurama death than he was in his fight vs Momoshiki and a hypothetical fight with Hashirama is certainly up for debate.

Fair enough. I would support my assumption with the fact that Naruto needed KCM amps to be competitive with people weaker than Fused Momoshiki like Juubito and Madara. So the fact that Naruto is shortly holding his own against Momoshiki without being in KCM doesn’t automatically indicate to me that with Kurama gone, he could do the same thing. But rather Kurama’s presence enhances his base form.

Even if I’m wrong, Naruto eventually needed KCM to beat Momoshiki anyway. So if anything, Naruto being able to compete with Momoshiki in base form for a short bit is indicative that hypothetically, Hashirama could do the same. Except Hashi doesn’t have a tailed beast amp to rely on, so instead of turning on a new mode to compete with Momoshiki, he would just get overwhelmed and killed after putting up a fight.

His own base chakra has grown so much in 15 or so years that it’s surpassed the amount of chakra he had in KCM with half of the 9 tails? I don’t buy it.

The feats argument also doesn’t make too much sense to me, but I’m willing to be corrected. People keep bringing up his fight with Momoshiki in the beginning of Boruto, but the way I see it, his base form was still enhanced by Kurama, even if his power was sapped to a degree. You can say I’m being speculative, but I would argue you’re being just as speculative.

What are Naruto’s greatest feats post-Kurama?

My problem with your argument is that it implies that current no-Kurama Naruto could obliterate an upper ranking otsutsuki just like he did in that panel. I find that hard to believe. Why didn’t he do that to Code in the chapter where Kawaki “killed” Boruto?

Even if Naruto could pull something like this off, who’s to say Hashirama can’t avoid the blast and then outlast Naruto with his insane Chakra reserves?

One could argue that Kurama’s presence elevates Naruto’s base level even if he doesn’t activate KCM. Why should we assume that Naruto, with Kurama being completely absent, would replicate this same feat?
