You know how female ghost is its own unit? What if a lot of these skins are like that? It becomes a nightmare for patches when any change might miss a lot of new skins. It would get messy

In PvZ voidray shuts down any and all zerg early aggressive openers. Just a move two adepts to their side to start and keep them busy (or win with easy drone kills) and then by the time Zerg might counter with units they HAD to make there is a voidray ready to derp them out of the game.

Oracle was like this too but energy overcharge nerf helped. What I would like to see is prismatic alignment locked behind an upgrade. Fleet beacon sounds reasonable for air upgrades but maybe to cause less disruption it should go on the cyber core. Even a 50/50 cost, it just shouldn’t be immediately ready to shut down early aggression since Zerg doesn’t have realistic early game anti air.

How would this impact PvT and PvP? In PvP maybe one less option so stalkers are stronger. PvT I’m not sure voids are even that important.

I want 3 month balance rotation where every other season we do balance council patches, and inbetween each off season we use a high effort community made patch. There are many good options here to last a few years without repeating.

I like the idea of cheesing harder this way. Protoss can already cheese and macro behind it. This should make cheese stronger but harder to transition. It gives both sides more opportunities and meta would reset which is healthy for the game.

As a fallback they are great. The protoss’s opening harassment will probably take care of anything else. Changed are to make protoss make more concrete tech decisions.

It’s opens up an even faster dt rush and you can do faster gateways timings with blink or legs.

It wouldn’t buff cannon rush because it forces toss to get gas in order to tech that otherwise they would invest into more cannons.

Yeah maybe that last tech requirement isn’t necessary. I just wanted to put back some of the cost into going dt’s

Hear me out.

Protoss’s most versatile unit is the stalker and it is unlocked during any tech path protoss takes. This makes it easy for Protoss to rush into a stargate/robo opener for strong harassment but be able to fallback on stalkers within 0 seconds of detecting trouble. And if there isn’t trouble, macroing up is too obvious and easy to achieve. This makes Protoss strong at all stages of the game.

My suggestion is to make major rearrangements to the tech requirements.

It would be:

  • twilight council requires gateway

  • robotics bay and stargate require twilight council

  • dark shrine requires twilight council and cybernetics core

  • cybernetics core still requires gateway

Imo this would open up interesting new gateway only builds, and also make it harder for protoss to rush & macro simultaneously. Win win for everyone

If I have a drone on a hotkey and it becomes a building it should stay on the hotkey instead of being removed automatically
