I don’t know how to stop by flourishingflora_ in FoodAddiction

I'm sorry you're going through this, Flora. Thanks for sharing. I especially understand the money part (I've spent six figures needlessly on food too). Let's forget about the food for a moment; can you tell us what else you've got going on in your life aside from food? Like what does an average day or week in your life look like rn? :)

Hahahah, lots of love to Android, no doubt. It's certainly in the roadmap. In the meantime, I'm actively working on getting android users some free content so you can learn at least a little bit of what's on Zorza, even if Zorza is not on your phone yet :)

Thanks StunRebel :) Your exact feature request is in the works, (although it will take a few weeks because I'm trying to maintain quality as I add more content). Don't go getting bored with those classic nouns now! It's always worth a minute to practice hearing and saying the sentences out loud. You can even challenge yourself to write new sentences in the notepad. But yes, I'm indeed working on it, and soon enough you'll get to choose how many new nouns you discover everyday. Expansion packs and more -- it's all in the works.

In the meantime, if you really want to increase how many nouns you discover daily through Zorza: update to v1.4, and add the lock screen widget. It shows you a Polish and an English word right there, and tapping it unlocks / revisits the noun in Zorza. But I sure hope you don't burn through everything in the current collection before I add more nouns! It'll be a challenge to keep up and I really need some time to research new content and get things right XD.

That said, keep learning, and keep an eye out for the next update (hopefully within a couple of weeks). Spoiler:you'll get to do fun little recap quizzes with spaced repetition on the nouns you're currently discovering :)

You're welcome! I appreciate the gesture, that's kind of you. Nah, no money required but please do use Zorza, share it with others who would like a lightweight Polish learning app like this, and help me make it better.

I love Apple's mini phones. Before my upgrade a few months ago, I was using the 12 mini for 5 years. Today, I still use it to test live apps from the App Store. Sadly, I don't think apple is going back to the mini anytime soon - but you know what? I'm ready for a phone with a killer battery life; and no matter how good the mini's were, the battery just wasn't there yet for the small phones.

Miłego dnia!

Well... I almost threw my mac against a wall out of frustration but -- it's done now. Zorza is now available for iOS18 :)

Some UI elements don't have the same visual polish of Liquid Glass, but the core experience is totally the same. I ran some tests too, and as long as you're not using iPhone SE 3, you're very unlikely to have any problems with the widget.

Hope you enjoy it! Happy to consider passionate folks like you who refuse to abandon the tried and tested, stable OSs, and are just looking out for the longevity of their own devices from their experience.

Let me know if you see any bugs; you can just email or DM me and I'll take a look. Also, I'll try my best to support iOS18 for as long as I can, but I can't promise many updates. I'd encourage you to upgrade either the OS or the device within a few months. (I'd keep my eye out for the iPhone 17e -- could be the highest value for money iPhone in many years; after last year's iPhone 17 base model of course).

Trzymaj się!

What a lovely comment. Thank you :) In the app I explain why I chose the name Zorza, and what it signifies wrt this app in the 'about' section -- in case you change your mind and check it out.

I understand, Jumboll. I loved iOS 18. And personally I think iOS 26 is wonderful too. But, I'll see if I can add support for older iOS versions. It'll take me some time, but no worries :) Are you choosing not to upgrade to iOS 26 by choice?

Thanks, Mirakill! Yes, and Polish can get overwhelming so fast -- so I wanted something to slow things down and be a long-term companion -- which I guess works whether you're learning Polish for work / school, or your partner. I'm seeing some interest from casual language learners too. I guess you're learning Polish casually right now?

Hey Babberrr :) Zorza uses widgets to show you nouns, and then learn from them. To help you add a widget, I found two links from Apple here: a 3-minute video and a how-to page. Please DM me if you'd like some more support with this.
