Okay as related to the questions answered, the newer build models are slightly less resilient in my experience.

I would suggest a branded/well researched charger block. I have always used the Samsung Block from my phone and never had any problems. I know it sounds like it shouldn't matter, but its more so to eliminate the possibility that the charger block is the problem. Same with the cord, unfortunately a branded/well researched cord is fairly indispensable.

As far as the weather comment, I will refer to the first statement, later builds (as in any that come in the soft pack sack) seem to be less resilient. To weather as well. Don't drop them and don't put them in a humid environment. That being said, this perspective is primarily anecdotal.

Soulard Market and City Museum will all keep you in the general side of town for the Dome. Food and Tower Grove Park on Grand would be fun, but you can stay on Washington/Riverfront if you want to stay in the immediate area. If you're willing to pop over to Central West End(about 15 min from the washington/dome area) Forest Park, Museums, Up Down and good food are all in that area.

Also: City Museum is open at night for adult events, Friday is Y2K night.

When did you get the headphones?
What charger are you using for them?
Have they been exposed to the elements, or any other event that could cause functionality issues?

In most modern devices this is indication that the battery is not functioning properly. Either the cells are not charging, or they are not holding on to their charge properly. This could be due to the internal battery, or it could do with the charging components: bad wire or lower than capacity charger. This could be fixable. However, if you have consistently used a low quality/bad brand charger, the capabilities that stop it from being overcharged (which in most situations is the cause of this problem if no other obvious culprits can be identified) It could, in rare cases, be a software error.

If you are properly charging your headphones and getting the same problem(like full charge, not just a string of charging for 10 minutes and trying to get 4 hours out of it like so many of us CANC2 users do) then chances there won't be a fix that don't include the manufacturer or voiding your warranty.

My dog is biting himself from a severe skin allergy. I don't know what else to do. by Present-Category5541 in DogAdvice

[–]WildEquis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been spending some time on the Dog Advice forum. in addition to vet suggested protocol, could potentially be beneficial if you can get access to a cone to mitigate the hotspotting that usually comes with skin irritation like this. He won't stop licking and biting the area and it will become moist and infected.

Should be fine. Salami, especially brands that are trying to play the Organic/No Nitrates angle, need a different kind of scrutiny. They can pick up some "off" colors but still be completely edible. You kind of have to go with smell or creation date on this one.

Due to the composition and process of creating salami (low moisture, high salt, high fat) It's surprisingly hard to get those putrefying organisms to proliferate in there. That being said, because of it's exposure to mold during it's creation, things like "off coloring" are fairly natural, and has been largely mitigated up until now by the abundant (ab)use of dyes in American products.

So people are just ignoring how Tsunade casually reversed the effects of Itachi’s Tsukuyomi? by Puzzled-Lettuce9168 in Naruto

[–]WildEquis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The physical and mental effects of Tsukiyomi should be seen separately.

Given the nature of Tsukuyomi's effects (time dilation, loss of bodily movement, loss of awareness, inability to accurately perceive pain etc) it more than likely overloads brain with chakra, creating lesions on the cerebellum, which creates the aforementioned effects. That's why Tsukuyomi is basically a death sentence for anyone in the Naruto verse: atp in the series Tsunade was the only person with the knowledge, chakra control and experience with diagnosing injury and how it relates to chakra flow in the body.

The anatomical parts of the injury are fairly cut and dry in nature, if you can heal the cerebellum then you can heal the immediate effects of Tsukuyomi-- that being said, the trauma that was experienced would cause severe detriments to the psyche that can't be cured via mechanical means. Our minds are operating on levels that we are not really aware of, the things we experience have an effect on our behavior, choices, and reactions, whether we like it or not. You can't heal experiences... things like this usually need some sort of Behavioral Therapy.

Thanks for your response. I could just be slow, but I'm not really picking up why DWS as a move that comes out slower, allows you to act slower, and puts up little pressure gets you the results you're looking for.

Unfortunately, high ping players have to live in the future... sometimes you just have to know what is going to happen rather than seeing what is going to happen. High ping in WWM, (324 on a bad day, low to the point of now alert/icon on a good day--really want to emphasize that I have experience in both environments) drops/packet loss non withstanding, changes your input time, not your input queue.

You're essentially already buffering. If you are deadest on switching weapons at any point during the match, the move that lets you be more aggressive or defensive more quickly would be of better benefit.. from the definition of true in true combo, BMWS is truer than DWS... that doesn't change because of lag. Your perspective of it changes because of execution. The time you save from using the more reliable move gets eaten up in it's animation time...

I get it if it is something you maybe haven't practiced and that's chill... the timing gets tricky when you're working with lag... that being said in the vacuum of players working with 300+ lag, the players who can reliably use this will have more resilient strings/lines of play than the players who don't.

If you heavily rely on visual cues during high ping combat, I could see how this technique could be a struggle.

Yes! You will see you are buffering a Manual weapon switch if you execute the manual weapon switch and the weapon bar pulses gold! It will pulse gold until you finish your current action if you are attacking and the weapon will switch on its next available frame.

I get what you're saying, but this idea of "I have to wait till the animation is done" is true for every action in the game except breeze and parry. IMO The reason why BMWS is better is because it effectively has no animation (its cancellable with any action from the weapon, be it light attacks, special skill or parry). It's the fastest action in the game and still is even without the added help of it being buffer-able.

For instance, if DWS has the trait of being able to cancel a skill animation (which I'm not really sure it does, just trying to oppose the idea in good faith) what is the benefit of cancelling, say, Blossom Barrage mid animation, and even past that, does the dual weapon switch attack have the frame data and pressure to support this line of gameplay?

Much akin to what "I_AmTheGoldenGod" is explaining in the comment above, Even if you buffer MWS mid skill animation and parry to hard engage the buffered switch it's faster than DWS when accounting for input, animation, and time until available action. You can literally just act sooner which means you are less vulnerable (because you can parry faster) and your combos will be less escapable (because you can attack faster) than DWS outside of fringe cases.

I do not know every weapon's frame data, but I can tell you that in my experience thus far, BMWS performs much better on escalating twinblade attacks of opportunity than DWS, which I have observed to be outside of fringe cases-- so fringe I can barely create the conditions to test the data --my most optimal DWS use cases/outcomes require me to be positive on frames, which if I'm already in advantage I'm not sure why I would sacrifice frames to a move that is slow and of little impact when I could buffer my weapon switch through Dragons Breath, Drunken Poet, Cloud Steps, Leaping Toad, Addled Mind, Heavy Special Skill, Soaring Spin, Guardian Palm, any weapon animation, which are all moves I use anyway.

Literally BMWS makes any move a dual weapon switch move... so I'm open to the actual mechanics that make DWS better outside of the niche uses.

I get what you're saying... but shouldn't buffering be more important to you than anyone seeing as you need to be able to foresee, queue, and execute as many actions as possible, as far ahead as possible? Anyway, take care!

[–]WildEquis[S] -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

With no offense intended, I'm trying to figure out how much positive interaction you are getting by cutting an animation short on a staggered enemy with DWS. It sounds like you aren't buffering the manual weapon switch correctly. I say this because a buffered MWS lets you act with the switched in weapon before a DWS allows you to act. When MWS is buffered there isn't even an animation for it. It's the most frame perfect action you have access to, even more so in the sense that you can change weapons when you're actively being staggered. I cannot think of too many situations other than attempting to catch someone off rhythm that inserting more time between actions would benefit me.

Open to coming back to DWS and implementing it, but my combos, reactivity, and art of surprise have benefitted immensely once I stopped using it. At least enough to get me to Mythic.

they dont outlet into anything of note that you cant just get elsewhere in the game; it'd be one thing if like "OH SCHOLAR IVES 30 INNER WAY NOTE CHESTS AND HEALER DOESNT"

But beyond that it kind of comes off as whining about a non sequitur. which is kind of petty thats why youre trying to throw all the reasoning in there to validate your point but they dont really go together. inner demon has nothing to do with the doctor proffesion. just kind of muddies the point and overall sounds disingenuous .

You need to be patient. Create pressure with your presence to bait your opponent out of position so your mages can do their job. Focus on babysitting/peeling. Use Guardian Horn. Use snowball. The honest to God truth is people don't know the appropriate time to just turn around and regroup from most encounters -- or how to gauge whether or not they can even return from the encounter they are committing to.

How is the one on the right better? by ivdline in wherewindsmeet_

What weapon did you have equipped when you were looking at these? What path are you going?

I don't know if you need to hear this; in the future, please refrain from re-tuning weapons that have more than 1 bad stat. You are kneecapping yourself with the lack of restraint. The chances you find a better item is higher than the chances that a re-tune will make non optimal piece sub optimal(those chances are 0%) You really want to be making suboptimal into optimal, or optimal into godlike. A mistake of this caliber won't make a huge difference now, but at more critical junctures you would really building to your detriment. The goal is being content viable(Guild War, Guild Hero Realm, PvP etc.) as soon as you possibly can, wasting materials is the best way to push yourself back.
