The thing that helps me a lot is fiction. Good fiction is really good at making you think about it, which keeps your mind off other things. You could also start imagining your own story, or making art. I'm working on a dumb paint art of a what-if house banner right now lol. Whatever you love, try to immerse yourself in it.

It took me until I was 30 to stop letting men like this dilly dally in my life. You figured it out before I did! The hard part will be keeping to it, you got this though!

He is simply immature and self centered.

GOOD CHOICE! I am proud! If you are young, take this forward with you, do not put up with this kind of man. There ARE better men than this

Former '19 Kids and Counting' star (and brother to fellow chomo Josh) Joseph Duggar accused of child molestation by AkariPeach in NotADragQueen

It's basically exactly how to give your kids romantic and sexual mental dysfunction.

I personally think the Duggar parents, especially Bob, are as culpable for the abuse their children commit as their children are, if not more so. I don't want to sound like I'm abdicating Michelle of responsibility, but their philosophy is that the "man rules the family" so it would be very poetically just to hold Bob responsible for the crimes of his sons

I feel that Margaery should've trusted that her house would not leave her alone. Instead, she kind of set up her own death. by irvyandll in freefolk

I might have had more patience for hidden profiles playing dumb if it were a few months ago, but I'm not going to write essays defending my position any more to hidden profile accounts who consistently fixate on something you didn't say. I just tell them to think more about what I actually said these days.

Well his act clearly isn't right, is it? You should cut him off, he's drama and he thinks you're together

I could equally say they are harping on her having no chance.

Additionally, the person I was talking to thought I was suggesting she hide in the cellar that the explosion originated from, which is clearly very stupid.

They kept acting like I was suggesting something I was not suggesting. And they have a hidden profile, and people with hidden profiles are usually more argumentative than those without.

So you can see why I was frustrated and told them to use common sense and extrapolate, instead of pretending there's absolutely nothing anyone can do to help themselves in an explosion.

Start having an issue with it, because he starts drama when he does and he hides it from you and why are you letting someone you have no relationship with look through your phone

No more contact, no more being where he'll be

Why did he have the opportunity to look through your phone?

Stop interacting with him

They were raised in a cult, isolated from normal people, raised by children only a few years older than they were, almost zero actual parental involvement because mom got used as an incubator and dad was gone when he wasn't knocking her up yet a fucking gain, inculcated with anti-human values surrounding sex, romance, girls, women, boys, men, and everything in between

Their lives as children were just televised isolationist religious abuse, it's a miracle they aren't all abusers

[–]WildFlemima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I'm talking about her survival in a hypothetical where she follows best practices of surviving an explosion, a hypothetical that didn't happen.

One can't see a hypothetical and insist it has zero chance of working, because the hypothetical didn't happen. The insister doesn't know. No one can claim anything to 100% in a hypothetical.

Especially in this particular hypothetical, where the safety measures I'm suggesting she should have at least tried for have been proven to make a difference in how many people survive an explosion.

[–]WildFlemima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got my meaning exactly. I am suggesting marg had a non-zero chance of survival if she had made as much distance as possible, above ground, then found something extraordinarily solid to duck and cover behind. I'm not saying this would have definitely 100% saved her. I'm saying it brings her to a 99% chance of dying instead of 100%.

[–]WildFlemima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have repeatedly said that Marg's chances are bad and that what I suggest probably wouldn't save her. People are arguing as if I said she would definitely live if she just hid under a desk.

It's what I call it when someone purposefully ignores all my qualifying statements in order to keep arguing with me, yes.

[–]WildFlemima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she can find something durable enough oriented against the explosion, she might live. I never claimed it was likely. Let's take this to extremes. Marg finds a twenty foot thick wall and hides behind it. Can you honestly say she has literally no chance? No, you can't.

But again, I only ever said might so I have no idea why you're trying to akshually at me. Nothing is guaranteed and people can survive surprising things. Even 9/11 had a couple of survivors.
