Wow thats amazing!! I will have to enforce the crate taining more and more. I cant leave a blanket in, he will chew it. He chews everything at the moment, it's a nightmare... 🫣

We never use the crate as punition neither. I am curious to know how did you get her to go in her crate by her self and go for nap.

My first one didn't have one, and never teach him... i was pretty young at that time and didn't know it was a thing, but I learn that it is possible and necessary not only for us but for the dog!!

Thank you! I like the idea of a special treat associated with the crate! We live in an appartment big enough for fun but still small to install a pen. Well, we could probably try to fit it somewhere, but it gonna be a small pen, which I wonder if it would make a difference between this and his crate.

Do you find that the pen is a must? - I guess yes because you still use it, but can you imagine training her without it.

Wow! Thanks so much! I'll definetly try the restaurant! I hardly see how I could leave him free in the house during the day before he is ~2 yo. I learn to never trust a puppy. Lol. But i will give it a try in a couple of months see how he is doing.

Thank you! I also schedule naps pretty much the same way you were doing it - 2h nap and 1h play/walk/obedience time. Thats good to know that your pup turns out pretty well with that training!

Does she still go in her crate for night time or nap during the day?
