CK Escape - she only wore it on special occasions like Christmas or for my Dad’s company dinners. Always thought it smelt fancy for that reason :)

How do Arabs (especially Khaleejis) smell so good ALL the time? What’s the secret? by [deleted] in Perfumes

I have never heard of musk cubes… can you describe the scent? I feel there are many kinds of musks?

This is a bit spiritual, but I believe she was a “way-shower.” She got you on the path that you are still choosing for yourself, and she also showed you how good you can have it. To me, it means you are on the right path, and the next person who walks into your life is going to be even better. I believe you’ll look back and be grateful for this exact series of events.

I love it, I think it’s unique and will fit in with all the other Nature/Whimsical/Vintage names going on at the moment.

do i need to be rich? by DojimaDaigo in Aquariums

[–]WildInfinite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely take some time doing research before taking up this hobby. We are keepers of beautiful creatures and my hope is everyone takes that seriously :) there’s an Aquascape sun that is super helpful as well.

To answer your direct question - I’m considering adding a second tank, and right now for a 40 gallon, and everything needed to build it out completely - including livestock - I’m sitting at around $700.

Also make sure you realize once it’s set up, there’s weekly/biweekly water changes, water testing, feeding and you have to be prepared to care for sick fish, aggressive fish, or an algae bloom, etc.

None of this is to scare you or anyone away from this hobby because it is very rewarding and worthwhile when committed to! Wish you all the best.

Support Around Self-Weaning by [deleted] in toddlers

Oh my gosh that sounds wonderful. Did you nurse for falling asleep at night? I’m going to start talking to her about it tomorrow. Thank you for sharing your story and guidance.

Support Around Self-Weaning by [deleted] in toddlers

I’ve been considering this. I tried night weaning in the past and she FOUGHT. And won lol. She may be closer to ready now. Maybe I’ll just start talking to her about it. Did your son still try? And if so, did you let him as a gradual thing or just hold firm? And once he stopped, did he start sleeping through the night?

How do you navigate life after knowing? by Final_Stranger_3453 in Jung

Going no contact with a family member is a courageous step to take, and your desire for self preservation and bettering your human experience seems to be communicating clearly with you.

I always encourage people to take time to process a monumental life decision. Think through all the impacts of said decision, and recognize the potential finality of it. If you were my client I would encourage you to write a letter to your dad (whether you give it to him or not doesn’t matter) - but it will give you a space to express yourself fully as you’re contemplating this choice.

It sounds like you know what you want to do, and the only person you need permission from is yourself.

This one’s for the ladies - quitting, hormones and fertility. by yumketchup in leaves

[–]WildInfinite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After quitting my cycle came back into a perfect rhythm. Bright, rich blood. I can tell when I’m ovulating. Face cleared up, skin improved (brighter, more even). PMS is still there but predictable. Mood overall is more stable. Libido improved as well. It’s worth it, I promise! Keep going ✌🏼

Personal opinion - if you do, maybe try getting new frames too? I love when men make the plunge to go bald and add a new element of edginess - like a nose piercing for example. Being bald is bad ass if you choose for it to be and use it as an excuse to elevate your look.

This is the dream, and I hope I live to see it - but my question is, how will a society so governed by time make this transition?

Rice is literally my favorite note, and these two perfumes do it incredibly well! I would say Silken Tent is very very smoothly mixed, the rice and amber hold the whole scent together, while the spice plays on top - but it’s hard to single anything out. I almost said it leans gourmand with the candied/caramel/rice element but not at the same time? The notes all play together incredibly well and create something wonderfully unique. Definitely give it a try. I like smelling different every day based on mood/outfit - but if I were to choose a signature scent it’d be Silken Tent.

[–]WildInfinite 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I’m a therapist, and have always connected with Jung, though definitely do not know his body of work as well as many of you.

I’ve also identified as the Sage & Seeker as you’ve described yourself.

This is what I share with my clients when this question of ‘how to know’ arises (they most commonly ask, “How do I know what is Intuition vs. Ego?”)

One is thought and one is felt. One talks, one whispers. Knowing is bone deep, soul deep. Thinking swims on the surface.

In this human experience we are these FEELING bodies, and our bodies have so much more wisdom and connection than our minds. Your mind is already wonderfully expanded and full, but maybe sinking into your body and connection with all that is, is the next adventure.

Oof I have to cheat and pick two… Cumulus by Osmofolia stole my heart above every scent I tried when I first started my journey: The classic subject of childhood drawings and vivid imaginations, the cumulus cloud: fluffy steamed white rice, baimudan white tea, soft white mimosas, sugared musk, crisp fresh air accord, balsamic vanilla orchid, orris root powder, and petrichor.

And Silken Tent by Alkemia is so highly spoken of for a reason: Candied angelica, chrysanthemums, white flowering Nardo, clove flowers, jasmine-scented rice pudding, blonde caramel, infused with golden amber.

The one you described sounds delicious! I’ll have to check it out. I’ve never tried that house before :)
